XRP news returned to focus after Ripple invested in compliance platform Notabene.
The partnership will integrate Ripple USD into Notabene Flow, its business stablecoin payment platform. It will also explore connections between Notabene’s authorization tools and Ripple Payments.
Notabene said its network connects over 2,300 institutions across more than 100 jurisdictions. The network handles over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. Ripple and Notabene did not disclose the investment amount.
Ripple Backs Notabene to Grow RLUSD Stablecoin
XRP news gained fresh attention after Ripple announced a strategic investment in Notabene, a company that helps financial institutions send digital asset payments while meeting compliance rules.
According to Ripple, Notabene’s network serves more than 2,300 institutions across over 100 jurisdictions and supports about $2 trillion in yearly on-chain transaction volume. The investment is expected to help Ripple expand the use of the RLUSD stablecoin among regulated financial firms.
Ripple said banks and payment providers need to know who they are sending money to, why the payment is being made, and how to approve transactions without creating delays. The company believes Notabene already provides that system through its network of regulated institutions.

Pelle Braendgaard, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Notabene, said the partnership brings together Ripple’s global payment network and RLUSD with Notabene’s compliance tools. He said that could help move stablecoin payments from small pilot projects to wider commercial use.
As part of the agreement, Notabene will also use Ripple’s business network to speed up the rollout of Notabene Flow. The company said the platform is built to help institutions make stablecoin payments while meeting regulatory requirements. Per the XRP news, Notabene added that it plans to work with more financial institutions in the coming months as it continues to expand its network.
Ripple Looks At The Institutional Stablecoin Market
The investment shows where Ripple wants to take RLUSD. The stablecoin market is no longer focused only on retail users. More companies are building products for banks, payment firms and large institutions that need regulated payment services.
An industry chart shared with the announcement shows that firms such as Circle, Ripple, Paxos, Tether, Gemini, First Digital Labs and Visa now offer different institutional minting services. Each platform follows its own rules on who can mint stablecoins and how those tokens are issued.
Most of these platforms do not allow open public minting. Instead, they work with approved institutions that complete compliance checks before gaining access. That model is becoming more common because large financial firms want payment systems that meet legal and regulatory standards.
Ripple’s investment gives RLUSD access to a network that already connects thousands of regulated institutions across many countries.
Can Ripple Compete With Circle And Tether?
XRP news has also raised questions about Ripple’s place in the stablecoin market. Circle has built a strong business around USDC, while Tether remains the largest stablecoin issuer by market value. Other companies, including Paxos and Gemini, also provide services for institutional users.

Ripple appears to be taking a similar path with the RLUSD stablecoin. Rather than focusing solely on issuing more tokens, the company is also investing in the payment and compliance systems that institutions need to use stablecoins.
The industry is moving towards a market where several issuers operate side by side instead of one company serving everyone. Each issuer is expected to compete through its payment network, compliance standards, and business relationships.
Ripple’s investment in Notabene does not change the market overnight. Even so, it gives the company a stronger position as it works to grow RLUSD and win a larger share of institutional stablecoin payments.
