Dogecoin has lost around 90% since reaching its all time high near $0.73 during May 2021. DOGE price now trades close to $0.07, but its journey to this level has included several powerful rallies that offered brief hopes of a lasting comeback.
Dogecoin price climbed from around $0.09 to approximately $0.48 during its major 2024 rally. Another recovery arrived during April 2025, when DOGE moved from around $0.13 to $0.30. Those advances eventually faded, and the price has since produced a steady series of lower highs and lower lows.
XRP price has followed a similar path from a much stronger starting point. XRP trades near $1 after reaching $3.60 during July 2025. Both tokens now face critical support levels, but their recovery setups present different strengths and risks.
Dogecoin Price Has Lost More Than 50% in 2026
Dogecoin has traded mainly below $0.157 since the beginning of 2026. That level remains the yearly high, and DOGE price has declined by more than 50% during the year.
Support close to $0.067 has prevented a deeper decline for now. Buyers must continue defending that area because Dogecoin has recorded no convincing bullish recovery during 2026.

A break below $0.067 could send DOGE toward $0.04. Greater market weakness could expose even lower prices, especially because the token lacks a nearby historical support zone with proven strength.
Dogecoin still has one advantage over XRP. DOGE often records larger percentage moves once retail demand returns. A recovery from $0.07 to the 2025 high near $0.30 would represent an increase of more than 300%.
Dogecoin would need an advance of more than 900% to reclaim its $0.74 all time high. That distance creates greater upside potential, although it also confirms how much value the token has already lost.
XRP Price Is Testing Support That Has Held Since November 2024
XRP began its strongest recent advance during November 2024. The token climbed from around $0.50 to approximately $3.30, which produced a rally close to 600%.
The price cooled afterward and traded within a broad range for several months. Another major advance arrived during July 2025 and carried XRP price to a new high near $3.60.

XRP has formed lower highs and lower lows since reaching that level. The token has now lost around 72% from its July 2025 peak and trades close to $1.
The $1 area has provided support since November 2024. XRP closed slightly below that level yesterday and is now attempting to reclaim it. A failed retest could expose $0.73 before another recovery begins.
Greater selling pressure could eventually carry XRP toward the lower boundary of its descending channel near $0.57. Such a decline would remove more than 40% from its current value.
XRP Leads Dogecoin Across Liquidity, Utility, and Institutional Demand
XRP and Dogecoin can both produce powerful recoveries, although their market foundations remain very different. XRP holds the stronger position across most measurable network and investment metrics.

XRP benefits from deeper liquidity, which makes large transactions easier to complete. Wallets holding more than 1 million XRP have also increased their balances near $1. Large Dogecoin holder activity has remained relatively flat during the same period.
XRP Ledger active addresses have increased by more than 84%, and the network can process around 1,500 transactions per second. Dogecoin reportedly has between 6 million and 8 million holders, although daily network use remains limited.
Dogecoin carries greater supply pressure because miners receive about 5.3 billion new DOGE each year. XRP faces monthly escrow releases of up to 1 billion tokens, although Ripple often returns unused tokens to escrow. XRP transaction fees are also permanently burned.
Different Catalysts Could Help XRP and Dogecoin Recover
Dogecoin depends heavily on retail participation and renewed meme coin demand. Several developments could improve its recovery prospects:
- X Money could create new payment or tipping uses if the platform supports DOGE.
- The DOGE 1 satellite launch could renew public interest in the token.
- Doginals and DRC 20 tokens could increase Dogecoin network activity.
- Lower interest rates could increase demand for speculative crypto assets.
- Clearer commodity treatment could reduce uncertainty surrounding DOGE.

XRP requires a different set of developments because its investment case relies more heavily on financial infrastructure:
- Passage of the CLARITY Act could provide clearer United States crypto rules.
- Continued XRP ETF inflows could strengthen institutional demand.
- Greater cross border payment use could create regular demand for XRP.
- Wider RLUSD adoption could increase XRP Ledger activity and liquidity.
- Real world asset tokenization could introduce new uses across the network.
These catalysts give XRP more possible sources of sustained demand. Dogecoin could still outperform during a retail led rally, but its recovery would depend more heavily on market excitement.
Dogecoin Offers Greater Upside but XRP Has the Better Recovery Setup
A look at the Dogecoin chart shows that DOGE traded within a broad ascending channel after its 2021 decline. The price moved toward the upper boundary near $0.34, returned to the lower region, and later climbed toward $0.48.

DOGE has now broken below that channel. A successful return could reopen a path toward the upper boundary above $0.47. Such a move from $0.07 would produce an increase of more than 560%.
XRP also trades within a channel, but the price has not reached its lower boundary. That leaves room for another decline toward $0.57 before the technical pattern offers a stronger recovery entry. A later advance from that region toward $3.60 would exceed 500%.

XRP therefore has the better overall recovery setup because its liquidity, institutional demand, payment utility, and regulatory position provide stronger foundations. Dogecoin has the better setup for a sudden percentage increase because it trades much further below its former highs.
FAQs
Will XRP reach $10 dollars?Yes, XRP could reach $10, but it requires a massive market expansion. With roughly 60.7 billion tokens in circulation, a $10 price means a market cap over $600 billion. Most analysts place this target in the late 2028–2030 cycle rather than the near term. You can review broader market contexts on platforms like OKX.
Can DOGE ever reach 1 dollar?Yes, Dogecoin (DOGE) can theoretically reach $1, but doing so requires a massive influx of capital because of its large and expanding circulating supply. Trading around $0.07, achieving a $1 valuation means DOGE would need a market capitalization of roughly $155 billion to $170 billion.
