The XRP price is at an interesting point on the monthly chart, with XRP trading around $1.47 and a major resistance level sitting near $1.65. EGRAG CRYPTO has warned that “the crash is coming,” but there is an important twist to his latest chart.

His broader setup remains bullish if XRP can clear $1.65. From there, the analyst has mapped out targets at $7.50, $13 and $30, with the chart extending as high as $40. At the same time, a new development around the Federal Reserve’s FedNow Service has added another talking point for XRP watchers.

The XRP Price Is Testing $1.65

We had a look at the XRP monthly chart, and the main feature is a massive symmetrical triangle that has developed across almost a decade. The upper trendline runs from the 2018 peak near $3.40 toward the current resistance area, with the lower trendline connecting the 2020 low near $0.11 to the latest price area.

XRP is trading around $1.4748, which also lines up with the chart’s 77-month EMA. Above it, the 33-month EMA is around $1.65, making this the level to watch. A break above $1.65 would put $3 and $5.50 on the radar before EGRAG’s larger targets of $7.50, $13 and $30.

His chart also extends to $40, although these levels are his projections and are not guaranteed outcomes. The bearish side of the chart is just as important. A move below $1.4748 could open the door toward $0.65, followed by $0.40, $0.24, $0.15 and lower levels.

FedNow Creates a New XRP Talking Point

The Fed has proposed changes that would allow banks using FedNow to work with intermediaries for the international part of certain cross-border payments. That does not mean XRP or Ripple has been selected, but the development is relevant to the wider discussion around faster cross-border settlement.

In an April 2026 proposal, the Fed outlined amendments that would allow FedNow participants to use intermediaries for certain transfers. Under the proposed structure, an intermediary could handle the international portion of a payment, with FedNow handling the domestic U.S. leg. The proposal gives examples such as correspondent banks and other private-sector payment providers.

FedNow launched in July 2023 and operates around the clock, seven days a week. The Federal Reserve’s August 2026 review said the service had been limited to domestic payments under existing Regulation J rules, with the proposed changes designed to give banks more flexibility for cross-border transactions.

This is where XRP enters the conversation.

Ripple has a documented history with the Federal Reserve’s faster-payments work. Ripple participated in the Fed’s Faster Payments Task Force, submitting an Interledger-based proposal focused on faster cross-border payments.

However, there is an important distinction. The Federal Reserve’s latest proposal does not name Ripple or XRP as the intermediary or technology that would handle international payments. So far, there is no official confirmation of a FedNow-XRP integration.

Where Does the XRP Price Go From Here?

For the XRP price, the immediate battle remains between $1.47 and $1.65. A move above $1.65 would put $3 and $5.50 into the next technical zones before EGRAG’s much larger projections of $7.50, $13 and $30.

A break below $1.47 would put $0.65 and $0.40 back into the picture. That makes the current setup less straightforward than the “crash is coming” warning might imply. EGRAG’s chart presents both outcomes: weakness if support fails, and a much larger upside roadmap if the XRP price clears the $1.65 resistance.

The FedNow development adds an interesting payments narrative, but for now, the connection between that framework and XRP remains unconfirmed.

FAQs

Does FedNow use XRP❓

There is no official confirmation that FedNow uses XRP. The Federal Reserve’s proposed cross-border framework allows intermediaries to handle international payment legs, but its documents do not identify XRP or Ripple as the technology or asset that will perform that role.

When did FedNow launch❓

The Federal Reserve launched FedNow in July 2023. The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and was initially designed around domestic instant payments.
