Ripple’s XRP price is facing a technical test after a two-week RSI reading fell to its lowest zone in the 13-year chart history shown by an analyst. The setup stands out because XRP has reached this extreme without breaking the rising structure that has guided the asset across several market cycles.
The XRP chart compares the present RSI condition with previous periods of heavy selling, including the 2018 bear market, the 2020 COVID-19 crash and the 2022 downturn.
At writing, the XRP price trades near $1.30, with CoinGecko data showing a market cap of about $81.6 billion.
XRP price remains above the key rising structure
We had a look at the XRP/USD two-week chart, and the most important feature is the rising support structure underneath the price. The chart traces a series of higher lows from the early years of XRP through later market cycles, with the latest decline bringing Ripple’s XRP price back toward that lower boundary.
The present price action is worth watching because XRP fell from $1.49 on September 14 to an intraday low near $1.27 on September 15 before recovering toward $1.30. Coinbase data shows XRP closed September 15 at about $1.28 after trading as high as $1.45, followed by a 1.17% gain on September 16.
That leaves the XRP price close to the rising support area marked on the analyst’s chart. A break below that structure would weaken the setup shown in the analysis, but holding it would keep the multi-year trendline intact.
The RSI is the more unusual part of the chart. The indicator has dropped below the 30 level generally used to define oversold conditions, and the analyst labels the reading as an all-time low oversold level across the 13-year XRP history displayed. The chart places this reading below the RSI conditions seen during the major 2018, 2020 and 2022 sell-offs.

Analyst Cryptollica has made the same case, arguing that XRP’s RSI exhaustion is deeper than previous major market periods. A June analysis citing the analyst described the RSI as being near the lowest level in 13 years and pointed to the rising support line underneath XRP.
That does not guarantee a reversal for XRP price. An oversold RSI can remain oversold if selling continues, and the rising trendline still needs to hold. The data from September shows how quickly XRP can move in either direction: the token gained 6.09% on September 14, lost 9.80% on September 15 and then recovered 1.22% on September 16.
For the XRP price, the immediate technical question is therefore simple: can XRP remain above the rising structure shown on the chart? If it does, the analyst’s historical comparison becomes more relevant because the current setup combines an extreme RSI reading with price still above multi-cycle support.
If that support fails, the argument changes. The XRP price would be breaking the structure that has held through previous XRP cycles, leaving the RSI extreme without the same technical foundation.
For now, the XRP chart presents two measurable conditions: an exceptionally depressed two-week RSI and a major rising support line being tested at the same time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is XRP price oversold right now
Yes. The two-week RSI shown in the analyst’s chart is at its lowest level in XRP’s 13-year history, below the readings recorded during the 2018 bear market, 2020 COVID-19 crash and 2022 bear market.
Can XRP price recover if the current support holds
A recovery would depend on XRP maintaining the long-term rising support structure shown on the chart. Holding that trendline would keep the technical setup intact, but an RSI extreme alone does not guarantee a reversal.
Why is XRP price falling despite its long-term market relevance
The article’s chart analysis focuses on technical selling pressure rather than a new fundamental breakdown. XRP has faced heavy price pressure, yet the multi-cycle rising structure remains intact at the level shown on the chart.
