XRP Bulls Gain Momentum as Buyers Return and $1.145 Breakout Comes Into Focus

XRP appears to be building the foundation for a stronger uptrend as technical indicators improve, signaling renewed buyer confidence without the excessive leverage that often fuels short-lived rallies.

Technical analyst Crypto Patel points to the return of positive funding rates as one of the strongest signs of improving market conditions. In perpetual futures markets, positive funding rates indicate traders are willing to pay a premium to hold long positions, reflecting growing bullish sentiment.

Unlike periods of excessive speculation, however, current funding levels remain relatively moderate, suggesting demand is strengthening in a healthier and more sustainable way.

Patel also notes that XRP's 30-day Z-Score has climbed back above zero, indicating the asset is trading above its recent average after an extended period of consolidation.

Historically, this shift has signaled improving momentum and the early stages of trend reversals. Together with positive funding rates, the data suggests XRP may be transitioning from accumulation into a stronger bullish phase.

Perhaps the most encouraging development is the return of spot buyers without heavy reliance on leverage. Spot purchases represent genuine market demand rather than borrowed capital, making rallies driven by spot accumulation less vulnerable to liquidation-driven selloffs and often more sustainable over time.

XRP Eyes Fresh Upside as Technical Indicators Signal Growing Buyer Confidence

Market analyst Diana believes XRP's recent price action supports this constructive outlook.

After successfully defending the critical $1.08 support level, XRP rebounded into its established consolidation range between $1.08 and $1.145, with CoinCodex data showing the top altcoin trading at $1.11 as buying momentum gradually strengthens.

The four-hour chart also reflects improving market structure. XRP has formed a higher low after its latest pullback, signaling buyers are stepping in at increasingly higher prices.

Furthermore, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has recovered to around 48 and crossed above its signal line, indicating bearish momentum is fading. Price is also reclaiming key moving averages, further reinforcing the case for strengthening short-term momentum.

Bulls, however, must still clear several resistance levels before confirming a breakout. Initial resistance lies between $1.103 and $1.107, followed by stronger dynamic resistance near $1.117. The key level remains $1.145, the top of XRP's consolidation range. A decisive move above that barrier could open the door toward $1.20, with the $1.29-$1.30 zone emerging as the next major technical target.

Despite these improving technical signals, XRP continues to trade below what many believe its fundamentals justify. Ripple has secured significant regulatory progress, attracted approximately $1 billion in spot ETF inflows, and continued expanding its global payments network.

Nevertheless, the altcoin remains well below its 2025 highs, leading many investors to believe the market has not fully priced in these developments.

This longer-term outlook is also supported by Japan's accelerating adoption of digital assets. The country's crypto-friendly reforms, expanding blockchain infrastructure, and growing SBI Ripple Asia partnerships continue to strengthen XRP's role in cross-border payments and global settlement.

As institutional adoption and real-world utility expand, many analysts believe these fundamentals could eventually be reflected in XRP's price.

For now, the spotlight remains firmly on the $1.145 resistance level. A decisive breakout above it would significantly strengthen the bullish case, while continued support above $1.08 suggests buyers remain in control as XRP attempts to establish its next major upward trend.
