XRP has reclaimed $1.50, putting one of the market's most extreme technical signals back under the spotlight.
Only days ago, XRP's two-week Relative Strength Index fell to what analyst Cryptollica described as its lowest reading in 13 years. The signal emerged while XRP was trading around $1.30 after a steep selloff, raising a simple question: was the market becoming excessively bearish?
The rebound toward $1.50 provides the first meaningful test.
RSI measures the speed and magnitude of recent price changes. Extremely low readings can indicate that selling has become stretched, but they do not guarantee a bottom. An oversold asset can remain oversold or continue falling.

XRP had been defending the $1.29–$1.30 region, an area that also overlapped with longer-term technical support.
XRP's RSI reached its lowest level in 13 years while price continued holding that broader support zone.
Reclaiming $1.50 would put XRP roughly 15% above $1.30, suggesting buyers responded aggressively near those lows.
But one rebound isn't enough to confirm a new uptrend.
The next important question is whether XRP can turn $1.50 from resistance into support. Holding above that level could shift attention toward the $1.60–$1.65 region, while losing it would leave the possibility that the move was simply a relief rally.

A New Catalyst Is Arriving Sept. 29
Price isn't the only thing XRP traders have to watch.
The XRP Ledger's BatchV1_1 amendment is currently targeting Sept. 29 activation, provided validator support remains above the required threshold.
The upgrade allows multiple transactions to be grouped together, including atomic batches where every transaction succeeds or the entire group fails.
That creates a fresh fundamental event alongside XRP's technical recovery. Our breakdown of the Sept. 29 XRPL upgrade explains why batch transactions could become useful for more complex applications on the network.
Meanwhile, XRP ETF demand remains another part of the picture. Despite substantial cumulative inflows, XRP has remained well below its previous record, a disconnect explored in Coinpaper's recent look at XRP ETF demand versus price.
