Spot XRP exchange-traded funds in the United States registered their highest weekly inflows of 2026, despite a recent decline in the price of the underlying cryptocurrency. During the week ending August 28, XRP-focused ETFs recorded net inflows of $110.49 million, more than doubling their previous 2026 weekly peak of nearly $60.5 million.
Stronger institutional inflows, lower prices
Total cumulative inflows into US-listed spot XRP ETFs rose to approximately $1.66 billion, while net assets under management reached around $1.44 billion. However, the latest weekly figure still trails the all-time record of about $243.95 million set in late 2025.
Coinpaper, a digital asset tracking and analytics platform, reported earlier this week that cumulative inflows had surpassed $1.55 billion, as the asset continued to attract rising interest from institutional investors.
Despite increased ETF demand, XRP was trading close to $1.38 on August 29, reflecting a decline of around 7% over the past seven days. The recent dip followed a powerful rally earlier in August, when XRP surged over 40% during a period of intense upward momentum.

Spot XRP ETFs continued to show strong trading activity. Recently, these products reached a daily trading volume record of $125 million, indicating that institutional engagement has continued to rise. New data points to sustained growth in total activity across XRP-linked investment vehicles.
ETF inflows into XRP products do not necessarily result in immediate price increases for the token. XRP’s value remains subject to selling pressure in spot markets, fluctuations in leverage, macroeconomic developments, and the overall direction of cryptocurrency markets.
XRP is currently encountering resistance near $1.45 and is testing the $1.36 to $1.40 price zone. A move above $1.45 could bring fresh momentum, while a drop below $1.36 could reinforce the ongoing correction.
Institutional interest despite challenging market conditions
Analysts view the strength of inflows as a signal of increasing institutional demand for XRP, even as price momentum has moderated. Some market participants suggest that if XRP can break above the $1.45 resistance level, it may see renewed gains. On the other hand, a move below $1.36 would likely keep the correction phase intact.
Institutional demand for spot XRP remains elevated despite recent price consolidation, pointing to a growing divergence between fund flows and token performance.
