Onchain analytics platform CryptoQuant has reported a surge in large XRP transactions flowing to Binance, with inflows climbing to the highest point in six months.
Whale activity strengthens on Binance
Over the past 30 days, XRP whale inflows to Binance have totaled nearly 1.6 billion tokens, reaching their highest monthly figure since March. These inflows mark a significant turnaround from the lower levels recorded throughout May, June, and July, when large-wallet activity steadily declined.
A gradual recovery in whale deposit activity began in August, but recent weeks have brought a sharp acceleration. The increase in large transactions suggests more XRP is being moved into Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, which may boost available market supply in the near term.
Over the last 30 days, nearly 1.6 billion XRP have moved from large wallets to Binance, indicating the strongest whale inflow since March, according to CryptoQuant.
Analysts caution that these sizable movements do not conclusively indicate that holders intend to sell. Transfers might represent liquidity management, trading strategies, or simple reallocation between wallets and exchanges. Such flow data can sometimes signal investor sentiment shifts or planned participation in upcoming market events.

Market reaction and price outlook
XRP was trading at $1.32 at time of writing, posting a 0.82% gain over the last 24 hours. Technical analysts are watching for potential price movements, citing the emergence of a possible head and shoulders formation.
Crypto analyst Ali highlighted that XRP appears to be forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on its daily chart, with the right shoulder currently developing. Should this pattern confirm with a breakout above the neckline near $1.55, Ali suggests XRP could experience a rally of up to 35%, with targets approaching $2.
Should the inverse head-and-shoulders pattern confirm with a breakout, XRP could rise toward $2, with major momentum likely above $1.55.
XRPL protocol: New major upgrade released
XRPL developers have launched version 3.4.0 of xrpld, the reference server implementation of the XRP Ledger protocol. XRPL, or the XRP Ledger, is an open-source, decentralized blockchain focusing on fast and efficient cross-border payments.
The update introduces two new protocol amendments and decommissions an existing amendment. Key technical changes include the LendingProtocolV1_1 feature, which upgrades Single Asset Vaults and the existing lending protocol to introduce closed-ended vaults and cash-basis accounting. The release also bundles amendment-gated fixes in the fixCleanup3_4_0 package, while fixAMMOverflowOffer has now been fully integrated into the protocol and retired as a standalone amendment.
Additionally, the xrpld DEB and RPM software packages have transitioned to hosting at packages.xrplf.org, which is signed with the XRPLF key for enhanced security and verification.
Mini dictionary: XRPLF, or XRP Ledger Foundation, is a non-profit organization that supports the development and adoption of the XRP Ledger, maintaining software repositories and promoting ecosystem growth.
