What to Know
- Zcash is building bullish momentum as a golden cross develops near $495, strengthening the technical structure supporting ZEC’s breakout attempt higher.
- Buyers face resistance between $520 and $525, while a confirmed breakout could expose the higher $550 to $575 region next.
- Trading volume remains subdued, while losing $495 could weaken momentum and shift attention toward support around $470 to $475 again.
Zcash is building stronger bullish momentum as ZEC challenges major resistance near $525 while an important golden cross develops beneath its price. According to Tradingview chart, ZEC trades around $509, while shorter-term moving averages have converged near $495 and strengthened the developing breakout structure.
Buyers have repeatedly defended the $460 to $480 region, allowing Zcash to preserve much of its earlier gains during recent consolidation. Moreover, this price stability has allowed important moving averages to rise beneath ZEC, creating stronger technical support around current market levels.
One closely watched moving average stands near $494.48, while another sits around $472.49, creating the bullish crossover attracting market attention. Significantly, both averages remain comfortably above the longer-term moving average near $426.49, reflecting a healthier technical hierarchy than earlier this year.
ZEC also trades above another short-term moving average near $495.87, making the surrounding area particularly important for maintaining bullish momentum. Consequently, the $494 to $496 region has become immediate support, where buyers could defend the developing crossover during another market pullback.

Zcash Bulls Face Major Test Around $525 Resistance
Momentum indicators provide Zcash with additional room for gains because the market has not entered technically overbought conditions despite its improving structure. The Relative Strength Index stands around 54.5, slightly above the neutral 50 level and comfortably below territory commonly associated with excessive buying.
However, sellers have repeatedly defended the $520 to $525 region, making this resistance zone the biggest obstacle facing the current breakout attempt. A convincing daily close above $525 could strengthen breakout confirmation and potentially expose the $550 to $575 region as the next resistance area.

Zcash previously encountered substantial selling around those higher levels, meaning stronger demand would likely become necessary for additional upward price movement. Trading volume remains relatively subdued, however, and participation has not matched levels recorded during ZEC’s stronger May and June market moves. Hence, increased volume could provide stronger confirmation that buyers possess enough conviction to maintain price action above the important $525 resistance level.
Golden Cross Strengthens ZEC Technical Structure
A move below $495 would weaken the breakout attempt, although it would not immediately invalidate the developing bullish moving-average crossover. Instead, selling pressure could shift attention toward $470 to $475, where another important moving average provides additional technical support for ZEC.
Meanwhile, maintaining the broader $470 to $500 support structure would preserve the stronger technical foundation developing beneath the cryptocurrency’s current price. Zcash remains positioned around a decisive technical area as its golden cross strengthens while buyers challenge persistent resistance near the $525 level. A confirmed breakout could expose $550 to $575, while weaker volume and a loss of $495 would increase downside pressure.
