ZETA Solana Migration on Dec 9

ZetaChain has put Governance Proposal 2 up for a vote on ZetaHub, and it sets Dec 9 as the date for the ZETA Solana migration.

Voting runs for 72 hours, and nothing moves until the proposal passes, as theofficial ZetaChain post says.

If holders vote yes, ZETA turns into a native Solana token at a 1 to 1 rate. The ZetaChain Layer 1 will also stop making new blocks on that day.

What Is the ZETA Solana Migration and Why Does It Matter?

The plan did not start today. Holders passed Governance Proposal 68 in September, which let the team move the token, but that vote set no dates. Proposal 2 now adds the dates, the steps, and the safety rules for holders.

ZetaChain also says ZetaLabs will launch with the move, a private AI project on Solana that uses ZETA as its token. For anyone who reads crypto news, this is a clear case of a project that leaves its own chain to join a bigger one.

ZETA Snapshot Date and Block Height: Key Dates for Holders

Every ZETA balance will be saved at block height 20,755,000, which should come around Dec 9. The ZetaChain Layer 1 will stop at that same height, and the claim portal on ZetaHub is set to open the same day. Here are the main facts from the official blog post.

How to Claim Native ZETA on Solana After the Snapshot

Claiming is easy for most holders. You sign one message with your Solana wallet address, and you pay no fee and do not need SOL. Staked ZETA, coins you are in the process of unstaking, and rewards you have not claimed all count at the snapshot.

If your coins sit on an exchange, the exchange will do the swap for you and share its own swap times. So users on a crypto exchange should watch for that notice.

ZRC-20 Assets, Wrapped ZETA, and Liquidity Pools: What to Do First

ZetaChain was built to link many chains, so some people hold outside assets as ZRC-20 tokens. From Dec 9, you can move those assets back to their home chains on the cross-chain assets page of ZetaHub.

The minimum is 5 dollars for each token. Wrapped ZETA and ZETA in a liquidity pool need more care. You must unwrap them or leave the pool before the snapshot, so check your wallet and your DeFi positions early.

ZETA Token Supply, Burn Plan, and Security Review

The new token will have 9 decimals and no freeze power. All of the coins from the snapshot are made in one go, and then the power to make more is removed. That means no one can print extra tokens later.

The proposal also plans to burn about 55 million unused validator reward tokens over 12 months in 2027, and the foundation says it will not sell newly unlocked tokens.

For safety, the security firm Hacken is checking the portal, and ZetaChain says the report will come out before the portal opens.

What Happens Next After the ZETA Solana Migration Vote?

Three things matter in the next few weeks. The first is the vote result, which is due to close on Nov 7. The second is the swap plan from each exchange, and the third is the Hacken report.

The vote has not passed yet, so any date here could still change. Follow theZetaChain account on X and check ZetaHub before you take any step. The ZETA Solana migration changes the token type and the network, but it does not tell you where the ZETA price will go.

Holders who plan ahead can treat the ZETA Solana migration as a simple checklist.
