Zilliqa’s official X account made noteworthy statements about Kaspa while discussing its plan to transform into a second-layer network on Ethereum.
In response to a user asking if Kaspa was being considered as an alternative to Ethereum, the team stated that they were also looking into that option. Describing Kaspa as the most innovative proof-of-work blockchain, the account added, “If Satoshi were alive today, he would be working on Kaspa.”
In another post in the same discussion, Zilliqa praised Kaspa’s proof-of-work efforts and described the project as “digital silver.”
In response, the team noted that the institutions they work with and the regulated assets they issue reside on Ethereum. It was stated that Zilliqa’s verifiable corporate identity solution will currently provide the most value within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The announcements come at a time when Zilliqa has chosen to leverage Ethereum’s security and liquidity instead of a standalone first-layer model. The new structure aims to allow institutions to conduct transactions with verified identities while protecting the ZIL token.
The team said they were also considering a minimum ZIL (Zone Information Network) requirement for organizations joining the network, but no decision had been made yet.
However, the surprise nature of this announcement raises doubts about whether the post is sponsored. Kaspa’s price has dropped by 7% in the last 24 hours.
