  • Aave risk manager LlamaRisk recommended raising the add cap for weETH on Aave V4 Ethereum from 20,000 to 22,000, after utilization reached 97.7% of the existing cap
  • A second change raises the add cap for GOOGLc, a tokenized-equity reserve on Aave V4’s Base Equities Hub, from 15,000 to 22,000, adding capacity worth approximately $2 million at 86.6% utilization
  • GOOGLc is not borrowable on its hub and is supplied alongside other tokenized equities, with about $3.7 million already supplied across 189 positions before the increase

Aave’s risk manager LlamaRisk posted a separate set of recommendations on November 1, 2026 covering add caps, a distinct parameter from the borrow caps addressed in the protocol’s other same-day update, specifically for two reserves on Aave V4. An add cap limits the total amount of a given asset that can be supplied into a reserve, rather than how much can be borrowed against it.

The first change affects weETH, a liquid-staked ether token, on Aave V4’s Ethereum deployment within its Core Hub Main Spoke. LlamaRisk recommended raising its add cap from 20,000 to 22,000 after the reserve reached 97.7% utilization, with about 19,533 of the existing cap already filled. The increase would bring post-change utilization down to roughly 88.8%.

The second and more unusual change affects GOOGLc, a reserve on Aave V4’s Base deployment sitting within what the protocol calls its Equities Hub MAG7 Spoke, a section of the market dedicated to tokenized versions of large technology stocks. LlamaRisk’s post describes GOOGLc as part of a group of tokenized-equity assets that some borrowers use alongside each other, though the post does not explicitly spell out which underlying stock GOOGLc tracks beyond its position in that equities grouping. The add cap for GOOGLc was raised from 15,000 to 22,000, an increase LlamaRisk values at approximately $2 million, after utilization reached 86.6% with about 12,993 units of the prior cap already supplied across the hub.

Unlike some of Aave’s other reserves, GOOGLc is specifically not borrowable on its hub, meaning users can supply it as collateral or exposure but cannot take out loans denominated in it directly. LlamaRisk’s figures show roughly $3.7 million worth of GOOGLc supplied across 189 separate positions before this cap increase took effect, a modest but active corner of Aave’s growing tokenized-equities offerings.

The inclusion of a tokenized big-tech stock reserve as one of just two assets needing a capacity increase on the same day underscores how quickly demand for onchain exposure to familiar equities has grown within Aave’s newer V4 markets. The full recommendation is posted on Aave’s own governance forum.
