Anna, who posts as @basilda_a on X, urged Pumpfun on November 2 to add rewards for holding coins over time and consistently supporting the same communities. She argues that the platform's Callout Rewards give users too many reasons to chase the next trade and too few reasons to stay.
Her proposal targets two behaviors: how long a wallet keeps a coin, and whether a caller repeatedly backs the same community rather than moving from one one-off promotion to another.
In Anna's view, rewarding those behaviors would help retain users and support communities that continue building between bursts of market attention. She presented the post as constructive criticism and invited other communities and builders to support the proposal.
Anna argues that the current structure keeps attention circulating among familiar callers while overlooking holders and people maintaining communities. That is her assessment of the incentives, rather than a published measurement of user retention.
The response includes support from @attachiieth, who agreed that keeping existing users should become a higher priority. Those replies show an active discussion around the proposal; they do not establish how broadly the view is shared across the platform.
The reward budget is already changing
The proposal follows Pumpfun's November 1 announcement ending its temporary 4x referral boost. The replacement gives referrers 37.5% of applicable fees, with the other 62.5% allocated to Callout Rewards and in-app incentives, according to the company.
Pumpfun also already has a separate Holder Rewards feature. Its fee documentation says creators can direct a coin's creator fee to eligible holders, with distributions proportional to their holdings. Anna's holding-time proposal would add a different criterion: how long someone stays invested.
Her post does not set reward rates, eligibility thresholds or safeguards against gaming repeated calls. It puts a specific question into the discussion: how much of the rewards budget should encourage lasting participation in a community?
