Arbitrum (@arbitrum) $ARB recorded a $5.1 billion increase in stablecoin transfer volume over seven days, according to Token Terminal data dated November 1. A separate report on the figure says the increase led all chains over the period. The same report noted that tokenized funds on the network also surpassed $1.1 billion.
The jump comes as the Ethereum layer 2 network pushes to draw more dollar-denominated activity into its DeFi ecosystem.
Stablecoin Growth Program Opens for Applications
The Arbitrum Foundation is backing that push with incentives. It opened its Stablecoin Growth Program on October 15, 2026, to protocols with at least $1 million in stablecoin balances, asking accepted teams to make $USDG their primary stablecoin on Arbitrum One.
The program includes performance-based incentives and ecosystem support. The first 10 teams to reach $10 million in $USDG TVL, measured as a 30-day average, will each receive 200,000 ARB from a 2 million ARB prize pool.Rewards remain available until December 31, 2027, and each participant can claim only once. Selection is discretionary and requires KYC and AML compliance, while final agreements may include exclusivity clauses requiring deployment solely on Arbitrum.
The $10 million target is large relative to current USDG levels on the network. DefiLlama's stablecoin API recorded $33.6 million of $USDG circulating on Arbitrum on October 17.
Longer-Term Stablecoin Trend
Stablecoin usage on Arbitrum has been building for some time. Arbitrum's own blog has pointed to more than $7.8 billion in stablecoin market cap and over $74 billion in 30-day transfer volume at an earlier point. One market report said average monthly stablecoin transfer volume exceeded $70 billion in the first half of 2026, while stablecoin holders rose 40% to about 10.5 million.
Transfer volume and supply measure different things. As one analysis put it, supply shows how much value is available on the network, while transfer volume shows whether that value is being used. A one-week gain in volume does not by itself confirm lasting growth, and the program's incentives are tied to balances that must be sustained over 30 days.
