Arbitrum Pulls Away on Developer Activity
New data from @chainspect_app puts @arbitrum at the top of the blockchain development rankings by a wide margin. Over the past month, Arbitrum recorded 14,036 developer commits, a figure that leaves every competing network trailing well behind. For context, @Cardano logged 4,023 commits over the same period, while @SuiNetwork managed 2,746. These are two of the more active alternative Layer 1 networks in the space, which makes the gap all the more striking.
Chainspect's developer activity dashboard tracks commits across core protocol repositories maintained by each blockchain's foundation or development team, making it a relatively clean proxy for protocol-level momentum rather than broader ecosystem noise.
The broader backdrop is also favorable for Arbitrum. The ArbOS Elara upgrade went live in August 2026, quadrupling Stylus contract capacity and adding compliance tooling for teams running dedicated chains. Meanwhile, Standard Chartered's digital assets research team has called $ARB "hugely undervalued," citing Robinhood Chain's revenue-sharing arrangement as a key part of its long-term thesis.
Taken together, the commit data and the institutional momentum building around Robinhood Chain suggest Arbitrum's position as the most actively developed public blockchain right now is not a fluke. The question is whether that development pace translates into sustained user and liquidity growth over the months ahead.
