Astar Fi, an on-chain personal finance platform incubated by Astar Foundation, has opened its public beta, bringing portfolio tracking, selected DeFi opportunities and tokenized investment products into a single self-custodial interface.

The Tokyo-based platform, which had been available on an invite-only basis since Aug. 17, is aimed at self-directed crypto holders who manage assets across multiple applications. Astar Fi says users retain custody of their assets in their own wallets rather than transferring them to the platform.

The product is built around three functions: Save, Earn, and Invest. Save provides a net-worth dashboard covering balances, allocations, holdings, transaction history, and capital flows. Earn provides access to selected DeFi vaults using protocols including $Morpho, $Aave, and $Midas, with risk tiers, platform assessments, fee disclosures, named oracles, risk information, and published contract addresses.

Invest covers crypto assets available on Ethereum and Base alongside tokenized investment products on Ethereum. The platform includes tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds through Ondo, as well as tokenized gold from Paxos and silver from Matrixdock. Astar Fi said it does not issue or mint the assets listed on its platform.

At launch, the product includes 225 crypto assets, 436 tokenized stock and ETF records, 140 Morpho vaults, 31 Aave markets, and 16 Midas products, according to the company. Featured issuers include BlackRock through BUIDL, Apollo through ACRED, Fidelity through FDIT, and Ondo through OUSG and USDY.

The platform’s curated model distinguishes it from broader DeFi marketplaces. Astar Fi said assets and vaults are selected and risk-rated by the platform, with ratings subject to change and deposits potentially being paused when conditions deteriorate. The company did not specify a particular methodology for independently validating the ratings beyond the information provided in the announcement.

Maarten Henskens, head of Astar Foundation, said the platform was incubated in response to the increasing complexity of managing portfolios containing DeFi positions, tokenized assets and other digital currencies across separate applications.

The public beta does not charge subscription or trading fees, according to Astar Fi. Access begins through social login followed by wallet connection. The service is available globally, with an initial focus on Japan, while the company said network coverage is expected to expand over time.

The launch comes as tokenized financial products and DeFi applications increasingly occupy the same onchain portfolios. Astar Fi’s approach is to combine visibility into those holdings with a smaller, curated selection of products rather than operate as an open marketplace, positioning the platform around portfolio management, discovery, and self-custodial execution.
