Strategy disclosed that it sold 1,638 BTC for $104.73 million during July 27–Aug. 2. This is its third Bitcoin sale this year after 32 BTC for about $2.5 million during May 26–31 and 3,588 BTC for $216 million during June 29–July 3.
With 843,138 BTC on its balance sheet, Strategy is still the world's largest Bitcoin treasury.
Saylor has once argued, "Sell a kidney if you must, but keep the Bitcoin." On Aug. 3, he claimed that the "never sell your Bitcoin" creed only applied to individual savers, not a public company like Strategy.
"I have never sold mine. Not one satoshi," the Strategy founder said of his personal Bitcoin holdings.
