@Binance says it is working to reopen withdrawals for @HyperliquidX ($HYPE), @Injective ($INJ), @Aptos ($APT), @Plasma ($PLASMA), @NEARProtocol ($NEAR) and @Litecoin ($LTC) within the next week. The exchange has been restoring services in stages since a major security incident in late October.
Binance is also targeting the resumption of withdrawals by the same deadline for all tokens supported on already restored networks, including BSC, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism. That covers the Layer-1 and Layer-2 networks that have been preliminarily secured, including @BNBChain, @Ethereum, @0xPolygon, @Arbitrum and @Optimism.
Phased Recovery After the October Incident
On 29 October 2026, $6.3 billion worth of digital currency was stolen from Binance, allegedly by the North Korea-linked hacking group TraderTraitor, according to Wikipedia's summary of the event.Binance suspended withdrawals on the Friday after its system was hacked, according to CNN.
Binance co-CEO Richard Teng said on X on 1 November that the exchange was beginning a phased resumption of withdrawals, taking a careful approach to ensure services return safely and securely. He added that Binance will absorb the financial impact of the stolen funds, not its users.
CNN reported that withdrawals first resumed for 15 digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Solana and Ethereum, with more assets and networks to be restored in phases as security checks are completed. On November 3, Binance reopened withdrawals for more than one hundred asset-and-network combinations, the widest single step in the recovery so far, according to Blockchain Reporter.
Why HYPE and Other Tokens Lagged
Some assets have taken longer to return. Memeburn reported that networks still in testing included Cardano, Chainlink, Hyperliquid, Litecoin and NEAR.Binance's own account does not claim HYPE was stolen or compromised, yet HYPE withdrawals had been unavailable for eight consecutive days as of November 6, according to Bitcoin Foundation News.
Binance says every asset must pass security and readiness checks before withdrawals reopen. The exchange plans to restore withdrawals for all tokens on reopened networks, covering BSC, ETH, MATIC, ARB, POL and OP, by the same deadline, according to TechFlow.
The timeline is a target rather than a guarantee. Users with pending withdrawals can check their status in the Binance app, and the exchange has warned that fraudsters may impersonate staff offering help with delayed withdrawals. Binance says it does not charge fees to unlock withdrawals or ask customers to authorize wallet transactions to regain access to funds.
