In a significant update, Binance has announced plans to delist various margin and spot trading pairs, including those involving Bitcoin and Ethereum, by October 30, 2026. This strategic move marks an important reshuffle in the trading platform’s offerings, affecting traders who utilize these pairs for marginal trading activities.
Margin Trading Pairs Set to Be Removed
According to Binance, ten cross-margin trading pairs will be eliminated starting at 06:00 UTC on October 30, 2026. The pairs include RE/USD1, 币安人生/U, KAT/U, BTC/USDS, ETH/USDS, AVNT/U, FET/U, TRUMP/U, APT/U, and WLFI/U. As part of this process, the platform will close user positions, initiate automatic settlements, and cancel all outstanding orders in these pairs. These pairs will be permanently removed from Binance Margin, although users can still trade the underlying assets using other available margin pairs.
Binance has advised users to close their positions or transfer their assets from Margin Accounts to Spot Accounts before the margin trading suspension to avoid potential losses.
During the delisting process, users will not be able to update their positions, and accounts with open positions will be unable to react to price fluctuations for approximately three hours.
Closure of 12 Spot Trading Pairs
In a parallel development, Binance will also suspend 12 spot trading pairs by 03:00 UTC on October 30, 2026. The affected pairs are AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC, and XTZ/BTC. Binance periodically reviews its spot listings and sometimes removes pairs due to factors like low liquidity and weak trading volumes.
As one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide, Binance offers an extensive array of products across spot, futures, and margin markets.
Planned Wallet Maintenance on the Ethereum Network
In addition, Binance has scheduled wallet maintenance for the Ethereum network starting at 06:00 UTC on October 28, 2026. Consequently, deposits and withdrawals on the Ethereum network will be temporarily suspended from 05:55 UTC. The maintenance is expected to last around one hour, after which these services will resume. The announcement specifies that this only affects deposit and withdrawal activities on the Ethereum network.
New Collateral Assets Introduced
Moreover, Binance has added five new bStocks tokens to its list of qualifying collateral assets available for Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin, and Portfolio Margin Pro. These additions, effective from October 28, 2026, include tokens linked to Bending Spoons, GraniteShares 2x Short SK Hynix ETF, GraniteShares 2x Long SK Hynix ETF, GE Vernova, and AppLovin.
Glossary: bStocks refers to tokenized instruments representing traditional financial assets or related products on the blockchain. A collateral asset is a security that supports borrowing capacity in margin trading.
Binance announced that Ethereum network wallet maintenance will commence on October 28, and deposits and withdrawals will reopen once the maintenance concludes.
