SigFig Adds $73 Million as Bitcoin ETF Filings Continue
According to Alex Thorn, SigFig Wealth Management is a new filer whose clients increased Bitcoin ETF holdings by $73 million during Q3. The advisor manages approximately $2.8 billion to $3.6 billion in regulatory assets under management.
Thorn estimated the purchase represents 2% to 2.6% of SigFig's total assets. Across roughly 100,000 discretionary accounts averaging $34,000, he suggested the addition might reflect a model-portfolio decision. However, he stressed that the figures are estimates and his explanation remains speculative.

Thorn also noted that many large asset managers and registered investment advisers file close to the November 16 deadline. He expects approximately 97% of filings by the end of that day. The disclosures will reveal Bitcoin ETF holdings as of September 30, 2026.
Institutional Holdings Face Comparison With Q2 Trends
In his report, Why Now Is the Time to Add and Hold BTC, Thorn said faster-moving investors reduced exposure during Q2. Meanwhile, sovereign investors and wealth managers increased their holdings.
He expects that pattern may continue into Q3, although upcoming filings will provide further evidence. SigFig's clients have exposure through retail accounts at institutions including Wells Fargo, Citizens, Santander and UBS.
