US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) suffered $462.7 million in net outflows last week, while Ethereum ETFs moved sharply in the opposite direction.

The four-day losing streak from Sept. 8 through Sept. 11 ended Bitcoin ETFs’ strongest three-week inflow run of 2026. Selling intensified on Thursday, when the funds shed $282.7 million, their largest single-day outflow since July. Withdrawals then slowed to $13.2 million on Friday.

ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF led the weekly exodus with $234.2 million in net withdrawals, followed by Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF at $129.1 million. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF recorded $52.5 million in outflows, while Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund lost $50.7 million.

Despite the reversal, Bitcoin ETFs are still positive for September, with approximately $307.3 million in net inflows through Friday.

The withdrawals come as Bitcoin continues to struggle below the psychologically important $80,000 level. BTC traded around $77,900 on Monday after failing to sustain its recent recovery.

Ethereum ETFs Move in the Opposite Direction

US spot Ether ETFs recorded $196.9 million in net inflows during the same four-day week. Ether funds experienced uneven flows early in the week after recording $24.3 million in withdrawals Tuesday, $34.7 million in inflows Wednesday and another $29.9 million in outflows Thursday.

That changed dramatically on Friday, when the products attracted $216.4 million. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF accounted for $148.8 million of the total, while the 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF brought in $29.1 million.

The crypto market now faces another potential volatility catalyst, with the Federal Reserve due to announce its next interest-rate decision on Sept. 16. Rising inflation and expectations for tighter monetary policy have weighed on risk assets, and could potentially help explain the new caution among Bitcoin ETF investors.
