Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States posted their highest daily net inflows of 2026 on Monday, with investors committing nearly $1 billion in a single session. The surge marked the ninth-largest daily inflow since the products made their debut in January 2024, highlighting renewed appetite for digital asset investment vehicles.

Major ETF providers drive inflow surge

According to SoSoValue data, spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $998.95 million in net inflows, surpassing the previous 2026 peak of $844 million recorded on January 14. This rise in demand follows weeks of subdued flows and reinforces the market’s resilience amid a volatile year.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was the top contributor, recording $381 million in net inflows. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) followed with $289 million, and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) added $239 million, according to Farside Investors.

This influx stands as the most significant single-day increase since October 6, 2025, when Bitcoin prices reached an all-time high close to $126,200. Monday’s gains also align with a broader resurgence in spot Bitcoin ETF interest during the past month.

Bitcoin price and technical outlook strengthen

Bitcoin briefly crossed $87,200 on Monday before settling near $85,430, marking a 4.7% gain over the previous 24 hours and extending its monthly advance to 12.3%, based on CoinGecko data. This price action has encouraged both retail and institutional interest, especially as Bitcoin continues to outperform traditional assets like gold this quarter.

CryptoQuant analyst Julio Moreno noted that the cryptocurrency’s move above its 365-day moving average on Monday stands out as a meaningful technical milestone. He described this development as a clear signal for the start of a new bull cycle for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s climb above the 365-day moving average represents a pivotal moment, offering confirmation that a new bull cycle may be underway, according to Julio Moreno, analyst at CryptoQuant.

With Bitcoin showing strong momentum and breaking above key technical levels, market participants are closely watching ETF inflows and price movements for further confirmation of a bullish trend. In rapidly moving sectors such as meme tokens, closely tracking not only prices, but also the timing and asset selection of investors, has become increasingly important. In this context, data from Fomo App points to a trade in “Niu Lai” that transformed an initial $99 purchase into approximately $370,000. Fomo App integrates token discovery, investing activity, and trading signals, offering users social feeds, investor leaderboards, and trade notifications to facilitate timely decisions within the meme coin ecosystem.

ETF inflows sustain three-day positive streak

Monday’s inflow capped the first consecutive three-day positive streak for spot Bitcoin ETFs within two weeks. This momentum returned after significant headwinds earlier in the month, which included a failed Senate vote on the Clarity Act and a Federal Reserve interest rate hike.

Net inflows for September have now reached $1.31 billion, though the monthly figure remains below August’s $3.52 billion. Over the current quarter, Bitcoin has delivered a 44% return, outpacing both gold and other major asset classes.

Year-to-date net flows still negative

Despite the latest rally, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs continue to show negative net flows for 2026 to date. Outflows currently stand in the range of $450 million to $464 million, depending on the data provider. Monday’s inflows have reduced the gap, though the cumulative annual flow remains below zero.

While Monday’s net inflow narrowed the year-to-date outflow by a substantial margin, the aggregate annual number for 2026 remains negative, with outflows exceeding $450 million.

The trend extended to other digital asset ETFs. Spot Ether ETFs drew $270 million on Monday, securing their strongest day of the year, with BlackRock’s ETHA leading contributions. In contrast, U.S. spot XRP ETFs saw no new net inflow, keeping cumulative investment at about $1.71 billion.
