The bank cited stronger crypto activity, improved macro conditions and renewed institutional demand in its latest Bitcoin and Ether forecast. BTC was trading near $86,885, up about 2.7%, after softer labor-market data and more cautious Federal Reserve commentary reduced expectations for an October rate hike.
From current levels, reaching Citi’s target would require another gain of roughly 30%.

That helps explain why Bitcoin has recovered even though institutional flows remain inconsistent.
