As of 12:00 AM KST on August 23, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 105.56 million KRW on South Korea's Upbit exchange, down 1.81% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 106.89 million KRW, reflecting a negative price gap of 1.33 million KRW and a reverse kimchi premium of -1.25%.
Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a -1.21% reverse kimchi premium. Other major altcoins also traded at discounts to global prices, with Solana (SOL) at -1.24%, XRP (XRP) at -1.07%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at -0.88%, and Sui (SUI) at -1.13%. Most major altcoins are currently trading with a reverse kimchi premium in the -0.8% to -1.2% range.
