Bitmine Immersion Technologies continued expanding its Ethereum treasury, purchasing another 9,946 ETH during the past week while simultaneously accelerating its common share repurchase program. The latest acquisition brings the company's total Ethereum holdings to approximately 5.79 million ETH, reinforcing its position as one of the largest corporate holders of the cryptocurrency.

According to the company's latest announcement, Bitmine's Ethereum treasury now contains 5,787,414 ETH, valued at nearly $11.3 billion based on current market prices. Chairman Tom Lee noted that the company has consistently added ETH every week since launching its Ethereum Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025.

Ethereum Accumulation Continues

The latest purchase exceeded the previous week's acquisition of 7,430 ETH, signaling that Bitmine remains committed to increasing its long-term exposure to Ethereum despite ongoing regulatory uncertainty.

With nearly 5.8 million ETH under management, Bitmine now controls roughly 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply. Such a concentration highlights how institutional treasury strategies are becoming an increasingly important factor in Ethereum's market structure.

Corporate treasury strategies involving digital assets have evolved beyond Bitcoin over the past year, with more companies viewing Ethereum as a productive treasury asset because it can generate additional income through staking.

Share Buybacks Reflect Confidence

Beyond expanding its crypto holdings, Bitmine also increased the pace of its stock repurchase program.

The company bought back approximately 6.1 million common shares during the past week, exceeding the 5.5 million shares repurchased the week before. The purchases are part of Bitmine's previously announced $4 billion share buyback authorization, under which a total of 11.6 million shares have already been repurchased.

Tom Lee stated that management views the strengthening ETH/BTC ratio as a positive indicator for the broader crypto market, even as expectations for the U.S. Clarity Act advancing in 2026 have weakened.

Staking Strengthens Treasury Strategy

A significant portion of Bitmine's Ethereum holdings is actively staked rather than sitting idle. The company disclosed that approximately 4.92 million ETH are currently participating in Ethereum's proof-of-stake network.

Based on current estimates, those staked assets are expected to generate roughly $254 million in annualized staking revenue, providing Bitmine with an additional income stream while maintaining long-term exposure to Ethereum.

This approach reflects a broader trend among institutional investors that increasingly view Ethereum not only as a store of value but also as a yield-generating digital asset capable of supporting treasury management strategies.

Why It Matters

Bitmine's continued accumulation demonstrates how corporate demand for Ethereum remains resilient despite regulatory uncertainty and market volatility. As more institutions integrate ETH into treasury management, corporate accumulation and staking activity could become increasingly influential in shaping Ethereum's long-term supply dynamics and market liquidity.
