Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced that its Ether holdings have reached 5.79 million, accounting for around 4.8% of the total circulating supply of the cryptocurrency after acquiring nearly 10,000 ETH over the past week.

Staking Strategy and Asset Overview

The company revealed that approximately 4.9 million ETH, representing nearly 85% of its total Ether, is staked through validator operations. Bitmine projects that annualized staking rewards could reach $299 million when all Ether is actively deployed across its own staking infrastructure and with partner validators.

Including other assets, such as cash and marketable securities, Bitmine’s total holdings stand at $11.8 billion as of July 26. The company’s approach centers on maximizing returns via large-scale staking, making it one of the leading Ether holders among publicly listed firms.

Recent Ether Purchases and Market Performance

In the past week, Bitmine acquired nearly 10,000 additional ETH, citing strengthening market conditions for Ethereum. Over the last seven days, Ether has outperformed Bitcoin, gaining about 2.4%, while Bitcoin recorded a loss of approximately 0.7%, according to data from CoinGecko.

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee noted that the ETH/BTC ratio, now at a three-month high, signals growing momentum from Ether relative to Bitcoin.

As the ETH/BTC pair tests a rising trend, investor interest in innovative financial instruments also continues to grow. Platforms like 1stepSwap are removing barriers between traditional finance and the crypto sector by bringing real-world assets, including shares of major U.S. companies and commodities such as gold and silver, directly onto the blockchain. This allows users to interact easily—buying and selling these assets instantly from their wallets—while the platform’s technology ensures transactions occur at the most favorable rates available in the market, supporting efficient portfolio diversification.

Comparison with Major Corporate Holders

Bitmine currently maintains the largest Ether treasury among public companies by value, trailing only Strategy in terms of total digital asset holdings. However, the companies’ accumulation strategies have diverged in recent months. While Bitmine has been increasing its Ether reserves, Strategy has paused its Bitcoin acquisitions.

Strategy reported that it raised $544.5 million through stock sales and repurchased $25 million of its STRC preferred shares. The firm increased its US dollar reserves to $3.75 billion while continuing to hold 843,775 BTC.

Bitmine’s continued accumulation and staking of Ether highlights the evolving strategies among leading institutional participants in the digital asset sector.
