BlockchainFX News: Why Does the Register Show a Different License No.?
BlockchainFX News today: two license records for BlockFX International show different numbers. The Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority's website lists L161272/BFX. The certificate hosted by BlockchainFX shows L16172/BFX. Both carry an October 10, 2026 end date. Earlier CoinGabbar readings also recorded the certificate number as L16172/BFX.

This is a document-verification gap. It does not show that the license is invalid, that a renewal was refused or that the project acted improperly.
What Does the Official Anjouan Register Show?
The Authority says anjouanofa.org is its only official site. Its register entry, per the copy supplied to CoinGabbar, lists the company, the number and an October 10 validity date. It displays no license status. The Authority says its register is updated periodically and is the authoritative source of a licensee's status.

The company name also differs by a space: Block FX International on the register entry, BlockFX International elsewhere. A page on anjouanoffshorefinanceauthority.org matches the shorter number and says "Active" despite the end date. The Authority tells readers to check documents from other domains against its own register. That page tells readers to verify on AnjouanCorporateServices.com, which the Authority names as its appointed registered agent. A public company reply, as indexed, also points users to that other page.
Why Does the BFX License Number Differ?
BlockchainFX announced the license on November 10, 2025 and said the certificate could be viewed on its site. The longer number has one extra digit. The sources reviewed do not explain the gap. No clarification from the Authority or BlockchainFX was found.
This BlockchainFX News check also tests the date. The certificate gives a one-year validity period. October 10 has passed, but the date alone confirms neither a renewal nor a lapse. The Authority's notices say a license number is not proof of good standing. They add that entries marked "Not active" or "Unspecified" are not currently authorised. This entry shows no status, so readers cannot tell which applies.
No renewal notice, replacement certificate or project statement was found. The license is held by the company, not the BFX token.
BlockchainFX News: What Should BFX Users Verify Before Relying on It?
Check these items yourself:
Domain: only anjouanofa.org is named official
Entry: company name, number and status on the register
Number: the certificate must match the register exactly
Dates: validity must cover today
Updates: a renewed or replacement certificate
Record: save dated screenshots of what you see
Questions: use the forms on the Authority's official site, and ask BlockchainFX for its current certificate
Where the official gazette and the website differ, the Authority says the gazette prevails. A authorization grant is not an endorsement of the authorization.
The Bottom Line
This BlockchainFX News review finds two license numbers, an end date that has passed and no status on the Authority's entry. Treat the authorization as unconfirmed until the Authority and BlockchainFX say which number is correct.
