BTQ Technologies (Nasdaq: BTQ), a quantum technology company, has signed a three-year commercial agreement with Kaia DLT Foundation to deploy its Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN) across the Kaia blockchain, the company announced on Sept. 29.
LINE NEXT's Unifi Wallet, a consumer stablecoin wallet accessible within the LINE messaging app, is positioned among the first applications to benefit from the deployment.
Quantum computing is a fundamentally different type of computing that could one day break the cryptography protecting blockchain networks and digital wallets.
QSSN is designed to add post-quantum security at the blockchain's transaction and settlement layers, meaning protection extends to every application built on Kaia, including Unifi, without requiring changes to individual products.

How the deal works
Under the agreement, BTQ will receive a share of transaction fees generated by QSSN-secured activity on Kaia, giving it recurring revenue beyond one-time licensing or integration fees.
The company expects first-year revenue in the six figures, with growth tied to transaction volume over the three-year term. The deal marks QSSN's first recurring commercial deployment.
Kaia was formed through the merger of Kakao's Klaytn and LINE's Finschia blockchains.

The resulting network is connected to KakaoTalk and LINE, two of Asia's largest messaging platforms, representing a combined potential user base of more than 250 million people across South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia and other Asian markets.
"This agreement advances BTQ's strategy of making post-quantum security part of the infrastructure that digital finance runs on," said BTQ Technologies CEO Olivier Roussy Newton.
"Working with LINE NEXT and Kaia gives us a commercial foundation to expand into additional wallets, stablecoin issuers, and payment networks, with revenue tied to the activity we secure."
A consumer-scale entry point
Unifi is LINE NEXT's non-custodial stablecoin wallet, built directly into LINE Messenger.
It supports USDT, Japan's JPYC and Indonesia's IDRP, with plans to add more regional stablecoins.
Because QSSN protects assets at the account level on Kaia, stablecoins held in Unifi are covered without requiring action from individual token issuers.
