Canton Forum Singapore will convene institutions, digital asset leaders, technology providers and ecosystem builders to explore the next phase of on-chain finance in Asia

Canton Foundation, the independent organization supporting the development and adoption of the Canton Network, will host Canton Forum Singapore on October 8 at the ArtScience Museum, bringing together participants from across finance, digital assets, technology and the broader Canton ecosystem.

Held during TOKEN2049 week, Canton Forum will explore how traditional finance, digital assets and decentralized markets are increasingly converging and what that means for the future of financial markets in Asia and globally.

As tokenization moves beyond experimentation, the conversation is also changing. The question is no longer simply whether financial assets can be brought on-chain, but how those assets can interact, access liquidity, settle and move across different markets and applications.

“Asia is becoming one of the most important regions shaping the future of global financial markets,” said Viv Diwakar, Head of the Canton Foundation. “We are moving beyond the question of whether assets can be brought on-chain. The focus now is on how those assets can interact, settle and move across markets at institutional scale, while meeting the requirements of regulated finance. Canton Forum brings together the institutions, innovators and ecosystem participants working through those questions today and Singapore is a natural place to have that conversation.”

The program will open with remarks from Yuval Rooz, Co-Founder and CEO of Digital Asset, followed by a series of conversations examining some of the most important shifts taking place across financial markets today from Asia’s move from tokenization experiments toward institutional adoption, to the growing convergence of traditional finance, DeFi and digital assets, and Singapore’s role as a regional hub for tokenized capital markets.

Bringing together perspectives from across finance, digital assets, technology and the Canton ecosystem, the discussions will explore what comes next as on-chain markets mature including how assets can move across applications, access liquidity and connect with existing financial infrastructure.

The Forum will conclude with remarks from Viv Diwakar, Head of the Canton Foundation, before transitioning into a dedicated networking session bringing together institutions, digital

asset companies, technology providers, builders, investors and members of the broader ecosystem.

Connecting a Growing Financial Ecosystem Canton Forum reflects a broader evolution taking place across the industry.

Financial institutions are exploring tokenized securities, funds, collateral, payments and settlement. Digital asset companies are creating new forms of liquidity and distribution. Technology providers and builders are developing the infrastructure and applications needed to connect these markets.

Increasingly, these developments cannot happen in isolation.

The Canton Network is designed to enable financial applications and assets to interoperate while allowing participants to maintain the privacy, control and governance required for institutional financial activity.

For Canton Foundation, Asia-Pacific is an increasingly important part of that ecosystem, with Singapore serving as a key hub for supporting engagement and growth across the region.

“Some of the most significant work in digital finance is now happening across Asia,” said Diwakar. “Singapore sits at the intersection of global capital, financial institutions, technology and regulatory innovation. Bringing Canton Forum here reflects both the importance of the market and our commitment to building a broader ecosystem across the region as financial markets increasingly move on-chain.”

Canton Forum Singapore will take place on October 8, 2026, at the ArtScience Museum, Singapore, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
