  • Cardano active addresses reached nearly 27,500 on Oct. 7, about 1.7 times September’s weekday average, despite ADA’s 13% decline.
  • CIP-0113 launched on Cardano’s mainnet on Oct. 7, coinciding with rising network activity, though causation remains unconfirmed.
  • ADA trades near $0.254, with $0.234 support critical; a breakdown could expose $0.215 and $0.196, while resistance is at 0.27–0.28.

Cardano’s daily active addresses climbed to nearly 27,500 on Oct. 7 as ADA prices fell 13% over two days. Santiment Intelligence reported that activity remained elevated on Oct. 8, reaching about 27,200 addresses, roughly 1.7 times September’s weekday average. The increase coincided with the CIP-0113 token standard launching on Cardano’s mainnet.

CIP-0113 Launch Coincides With Address Growth

Santiment shared the data during discussions surrounding TOKEN2049, where Cardano supporters reported rising on-chain activity. The analytics firm said the figures supported that claim, although activity remained below its late-August peak.

Notably, the increase coincided with CIP-0113 going live on Oct. 7. Santiment identified the launch as a possible factor behind the timing, without confirming whether it caused the increase.

Bitcoin and Ethereum recorded a different pattern during the same period. Their daily active addresses remained at or below September’s normal levels, according to Santiment.

This comparison also came as ADA prices declined. The token fell approximately 13% between the Oct. 6 close and Oct. 8, despite the increase in network activity.

ADA Retreats From $0.28 as Support Faces Test

ADA recently pulled back after rallying toward $0.28, with its latest price around $0.254. The token recovered from approximately $0.14 in late June before advancing through $0.196 and $0.215 during August and September. However, resistance near 0.27–0.28 halted the latest advance.

ADA subsequently retreated toward 0.23–0.24 before rebounding. The 50-day moving average stands near $0.254, while the 200-day average is around $0.234. ADA currently trades near the shorter-term average and above the longer-term measure.

$0.234 Support Could Shape Cardano’s Next Move

The $0.234 area represents immediate support for ADA. A sustained hold could allow another attempt toward $0.26 and $0.27, while a breakdown could expose $0.215 and $0.196.

Meanwhile, trading volume increased during recent price swings, reflecting greater market participation. A move above $0.26 could put the 0.27–0.28 resistance zone back in focus.

Santiment said it would monitor whether the rise in active addresses continues beyond the token standard’s launch week.
