@Cardano is opening October with a burst of network activity, recording back-to-back daily transaction highs that mark the strongest two-day run the network has seen in recent weeks.

A New Weekly High, Two Days Running

According to blockchain analytics platform Chainspect, Cardano processed 33,467 transactions on September 30, 2026, marking the network's highest daily transaction count over the preceding seven days. The momentum did not stop there. On October 1, the network completed 43,181 transactions, setting a new peak and representing a 29% increase over the prior day's figure.

As a result, Cardano's daily transaction activity moved above its reported 2026 average of around 25,000 transactions per day. The two consecutive records suggest the uptick is more than a one-day anomaly.

Context: A Network Quietly Building Momentum

The timing is notable. The latest increase comes shortly after Cardano marked its ninth anniversary, at which point the network reported more than 124 million cumulative transactions, alongside nearly 2,887 stake pools and 2,075 validators.

The surge also fits a broader pattern of recovering on-chain engagement. Beyond transaction growth, Cardano continues to demonstrate strong developer activity, with Chainspect recording over 303,000 commits for the network, placing it among the leading blockchain ecosystems by development activity.

Whether the transaction spike translates into sustained price movement for $ADA remains to be seen. Cardano enters October with a recovering price and a substantial one-year loss, making the durability of recent gains central, with buying volume and successive higher prices likely to offer clearer evidence than seasonal expectations about the strength of ADA's rebound.
