One-Click Deposits Across 80+ Blockchains
@Chainlink has launched CCIP Vault Adapters, a new product that lets yield and asset vaults deployed on a single blockchain accept deposits from investors on more than 80 connected networks. The adapters let DeFi vaults accept one-click deposits from over 80 blockchains while keeping core operations on one chain.
The product targets a long-standing friction point in decentralised finance: vault operators have historically had to redeploy their contracts on every network they want to reach, fragmenting liquidity and complicating risk management. Chainlink's CCIP Vault Adapters enable DeFi vaults deployed on one network to accept deposits from more than 80 blockchains without separate deployments on each chain.
The solution leverages the programmable token transfer capabilities of the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), allowing vault providers to aggregate cross-chain funds while keeping core operations, accounting, governance, and total value locked (TVL) on a single primary chain.
How It Works and Who Is Already Using It
The first implementation targets ERC-4626 vaults, a widely used standard for tokenized vaults. Deposits can arrive from other networks while accounting, governance and risk controls remain on the vault's primary chain. By relying on an open-source CCIP standard, the protocol automates cross-chain deposit routing and token transfers without requiring vault operators to manage duplicate infrastructure.
Vault share tokens can also be converted into Cross-Chain Tokens (CCTs), Chainlink's standard for tokens that move across networks.Standard ERC-4626 vaults can be rapidly integrated via factory contracts, and vault share tokens support the issuance of cross-chain tokens.
Multiple DeFi protocols, asset issuers, and vault platforms such as Aave, Lombard, Venus, and Veda have already integrated the adapter.
The launch builds on a broader upgrade to Chainlink's cross-chain infrastructure. CCIP was upgraded to version 2.0 on September 28, 2026. The 2.0 release added optional Cross-Chain Verifiers, which users can operate themselves, and compliance tooling through Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine, aimed at institutions that need rule-checking built into how assets move.
