Chainlink (@chainlink) $LINK is set to take part in the Ethereum (@ethereum) $ETH Institutional Forum in London on November 12, as banks and asset managers examine public blockchain infrastructure for tokenization and settlement.

What the Forum Covers

The event is the third edition of the Ethereum Institutional Forum. According to ChainCatcher, Ethereum Institutional relaunched the series as a curated, closed-door programme for senior institutional participants, after earlier editions in Hong Kong and New York. The London session is due to bring together banks, asset managers, market infrastructure providers and ecosystem figures including Ethereum researcher Justin Drake. Topics include Ethereum's technology roadmap, post-quantum security, native issuance and its role as onchain financial infrastructure.

The official forum page lists the event as invite-only, held at Kimpton Fitzroy London. Its speaker list includes Frank Seibold, Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets Sales at Chainlink, and Fernando Luis Vázquez Cao, President of Banking and Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs. Chainlink Labs is also named among the supporters of the event, alongside Optimism Foundation, Golem Foundation, OpenZeppelin and Gnosis, according to an event announcement.

Apex Group Bond Framework Adds Context

The appearance follows a new onchain bond demonstration involving Apex Group (@ApexGlobalGroup). Finextra reports that Apex Group, Chainlink, T-REX Network and the ERC-3643 Association have implemented a modular compliance framework for onchain bonds, aligned with Swift standards.

In that setup, Chainlink provides the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for cross-chain transfers of ERC-3643 tokens, the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for compliance enforcement, and Data Streams for high-speed pricing data. The ERC-3643 Association supplies the open compliance framework, which allows identity, eligibility and transfer requirements to be applied as rules at the asset level.

Apex Group said the approach lets institutions put compliance requirements in place once and reuse them across different blockchains, according to Cryptonomist. Swift has also joined the ERC-3643 Association as part of the initiative.

Chainlink's presence at the London forum places its cross-chain and compliance tools in front of the institutions the event targets, at a time when tokenized assets and regulated onchain issuance are a growing focus for traditional finance.
