Fortune has published its inaugural Fortune Crypto 100 list for 2026, and several major blockchain protocols have earned spots in the top 10 of the Blockchains and Protocols category. @Chainlink ($LINK), @Ripple's $XRP, @0xPolygon, and $ZEC (Zcash) all secured places on a list that prioritises structural infrastructure over speculative hype.

Blockchains and Protocols: The Full Top 10

In the Blockchains and Protocols category, Bitcoin ranked first and Ethereum placed second. Solana, Chainlink, Polygon, and XRP followed, while Sui and Zcash also made the top 10. Rounding out the list are $ARB (Arbitrum) and $AVAX (Avalanche).

Fortune unveiled the inaugural Fortune Crypto 100 on June 11, 2026, describing it as a definitive ranking of the companies and protocols shaping the digital asset ecosystem. The list draws on rigorous data analysis by Inca Digital and a survey of leading crypto experts. The Fortune Crypto 100 was independently compiled by Fortune's editorial team using a proprietary methodology that included input from industry professionals and analysis from Inca Digital, which contributed financial, technical, sentiment, and on-chain data to help evaluate industry participants.

A Broader Ranking Reflecting Crypto's Maturity

The Fortune Crypto 100 highlights leaders across 10 categories spanning traditional finance, decentralised finance, venture capital, mining, stablecoins, DATs and ETFs, and more.Among the top-ranked organisations in their respective categories are Coinbase (CeFi), Franklin Templeton (TradFi), Robinhood (Fintech), Hyperliquid (DeFi), Andreessen Horowitz (Venture Capital), Tether (Stablecoins), Chainalysis (Crypto Services), BlackRock (DATs and ETFs), MARA (Mining), and Bitcoin (Blockchains and Protocols).

The ranking recognises both crypto-native leaders and traditional financial institutions, reflecting the rapid institutionalisation of digital assets and their growing importance to investors, businesses, and markets worldwide.According to Fortune Crypto Editor Jeff John Roberts, the list recognises the entrepreneurs, companies, and protocols that have helped transform the vision of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto into a major global industry, noting that the ranking arrives at a pivotal moment as Wall Street and large financial institutions play an increasingly significant role in the digital asset sector.
