  • Brian Armstrong said Bitcoin could reach $400,000 by 2030 if its previous market-cycle patterns repeat, while stressing the target is hypothetical.
  • Armstrong linked Bitcoin’s four-year cycles to its supply halvings, which have historically preceded periods of price gains and contractions.
  • U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.4B in weekly inflows through Sept. 25, pushing their combined net assets to about $108.4B.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong still stands by his $400,000 Bitcoin target for 2030. Armstrong repeated the view during a September 19 interview with MoneyRehabPodcast, linking it to Bitcoin’s past four-year cycles. He stressed that the figure remains hypothetical and depends on Bitcoin repeating patterns seen during earlier market cycles.

Armstrong Explains The $400K Target

Armstrong said Bitcoin’s cycles relate partly to its supply schedule. New Bitcoin issuance gets cut roughly in half every four years. According to Armstrong, those periods have included price runs around the halvings.

They have also included contractions that often lasted about a year. He said Bitcoin recently spent about a year in a contraction. Armstrong referenced a move near $63,000 before Bitcoin began rising again.

However, he said past performance cannot predict future prices. He also warned against claims of perfect certainty about Bitcoin’s future.

Bitcoin Could Reach Three Times Its Prior High

Armstrong’s $400,000 figure comes from a hypothetical repeat of earlier market behavior. He said Bitcoin could reach three times its previous all-time high by 2030. He described that outcome as one possible path, rather than a guaranteed result.

Meanwhile, Coinbase has expanded its Bitcoin-backed lending products. Its fixed-rate USDC loans use Bitcoin as collateral and set borrowing costs upfront. The product works with Morpho Midnight, a decentralized lending protocol introduced in July. Loans settle through Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum-based layer-2 network.

ETF Flows Add To Bitcoin Market Activity

Coinbase offers Morpho Blue, which uses variable borrowing rates. Its lending market had more than $1.4 billion in active loans and nearly $3 billion in collateral. Separately, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.4 billion in net inflows during the week ended September 25.

Notably, the 12 ETFs tracked by SoSoValue collected $999 million on Monday. That was their strongest daily inflow since October 6, 2025. The weekly inflows pushed 2026 net flows to about $934.1 million.

Since launch, the funds have recorded about $57.6 billion in net inflows. Their combined net assets reached about $108.4 billion as of Friday.
