Coinbase Pro will return by year-end with advanced tools for active traders.
Deribit integration combines deeper derivatives liquidity under one platform.
Spot margin will offer up to 10x leverage on selected major assets.
Coinbase plans to relaunch Coinbase Pro by the end of 2026 after completing its Deribit integration, it said in a blog post. The move creates Coinbase Global Exchange and combines major crypto products into a single trading system. Coinbase Pro will target active traders seeking spot, futures, perpetuals, options, equities, and margin access.
Coinbase Pro Returns With Deribit Powered Trading Tools
Coinbase Pro will return as a rebuilt professional platform with faster routing and improved execution tools. Coinbase says the product will support complex strategies across markets available through its broader exchange. The company previously closed the original platform after shifting advanced trading into its main application.
We've been busy.→ Deribit, the world's largest crypto options exchange, is now part of Coinbase→ Soon, a first: US + global derivatives in one regulated liquidity pool→ Next: options, spot margin + unified portfoliosAnd Coinbase Pro returns later this year. pic.twitter.com/qIQrYJQiCt
The relaunch follows Coinbase’s completed Deribit integration after its roughly $2.9 billion acquisition. Deribit held more than $30 billion in Bitcoin options open interest on September 30. It also processed more than $1 trillion in trading volume during the previous year.
Coinbase Pro will also sit beside new spot margin and options products. Eligible traders may access up to 10x leverage on selected major assets. Other supported assets may offer leverage of up to 5x.
Coinbase Pro Expands Access to Global Crypto Derivatives
The Deribit integration gives Coinbase a larger foundation for connecting U.S. and international derivatives activity. Coinbase Financial Markets will provide eligible U.S. clients regulated access to global crypto derivatives liquidity. The structure reduces reliance on offshore entities and separate counterparties.
Coinbase Pro will benefit from the same broader infrastructure. U.S. institutional clients can access Deribit options and perpetual futures through Coinbase Prime. Options for eligible traders outside the U.S. are expected in the coming weeks.
Coinbase also introduced a new matching engine, faster onboarding, and revised fee tiers for Coinbase Advanced. Qualifying volume can begin at $10,000 across combined spot and derivatives activity. Coinbase Pro is expected before year-end as part of the broader Everything Exchange strategy.
