Crypto(.)com (@cryptocom) and OG(.)com have launched perpetual crypto contracts for eligible US traders, adding Zcash and Sei to a lineup that also includes $BTC, $ETH, $SOL and $HYPE. According to the company's announcement, the rollout began on October 27 across the Crypto(.)com App and the Crypto(.)com Exchange.
What traders get
The initial roster covers six assets: Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, HYPE, Zcash ($ZEC) and Sei ($SEI). Traders can take long or short positions without a scheduled expiry, with up to 5x leverage. Unlike conventional futures, which expire on set dates, perpetual derivatives let traders hold positions indefinitely, provided they meet margin requirements.
The contracts include take-profit and stop-loss orders, along with isolated margin, which Crypto(.)com says limits risk per trade. Retail users can access the products through the app, while institutional and advanced users can trade on the exchange.
Risks remain. TokenPost notes that only US dollar cash can be used as collateral, and losses may exceed a trader's initial margin. Open positions may also incur ongoing funding-rate charges. At 5x leverage, $200 in margin supports a $1,000 position.
Regulatory structure and market context
The contracts run through a CFTC-regulated structure. OG(.)com operates a CFTC-regulated exchange, clearinghouse and futures commission merchant, which is connected to the Crypto(.)com introducing broker. Crypto(.)com recently registered as an introducing broker with the National Futures Association to offer the products.
The launch follows a shift in US policy. The Block reports that the CFTC opened US markets to crypto perpetuals in May, approving Kalshi's bitcoin perps and issuing no-action relief to Coinbase. Kraken then launched US perps on Kraken Pro in June. The Block also reports that Nadex, the exchange operating under OG(.)com, registered with the SEC to trade security futures last month, and that CEO Kris Marszalek has said the company is working with the SEC and CFTC on single-stock perpetual futures.
Perpetual contracts have long been a staple of offshore crypto trading. Their arrival on a US-regulated venue gives eligible American traders a domestic route to leveraged exposure to assets such as Zcash and Sei, though eligibility requirements were not specified in the release, according to Traders Union.
