The cryptocurrency market moved lower on October 9, with Bitcoin and Ethereum declining alongside major altcoins. Starknet posted the strongest gain among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, while Curve DAO Token plunged 13.89%.

According to CoinMarketCap at 11:30 a.m. KST on October 9, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.47% from the previous day to $81,977.74. Ethereum (ETH) declined 3.84% to $2,483.02, while XRP dropped 2.62% to $1.38.

Solana (SOL) fell 5.65% to $109.92. Tron (TRX) declined 1.13% to $0.3321, while Dogecoin (DOGE) lost 5.17% to $0.08455.

Avalanche (AVAX) dropped 7.75% to $10.24. World Liberty Financial (WLFI) edged up 0.23% to $0.05462, while Worldcoin (WLD) fell 6.94% to $0.4858.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Starknet (STRK) surged 21.82%, recording the strongest gain. Curve DAO Token (CRV), meanwhile, posted the steepest decline at 13.89%.

Other notable altcoins showed mixed performance. Quai Network (QUAI) fell 2.25% to $0.009285, while Aleo (ALEO) gained 2.86% to $0.03034.

Coins newly listed on CoinMarketCap over the past 24 hours include AnsemCat (ANSEMCAT) and Whuffie (WHUF).
