The cryptocurrency market traded mixed on Sept. 8, with Bitcoin falling below $80,000 while Worldcoin emerged as the top-performing asset among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap.

According to CoinMarketCap at 10:00 a.m. KST on Sept. 8, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 0.88% from the previous day to $79,293.82, while Ethereum (ETH) slipped 0.41% to $2,498.09, reflecting mixed sentiment across major cryptocurrencies.
XRP declined 0.56% to $1.40, while Solana (SOL) fell 1.38% to $104.08. Tron (TRX) edged down 0.26% to $0.3343.
Dogecoin (DOGE) rose 1.01% to $0.09117, while Avalanche (AVAX) gained 3.32% to $8.13. World Liberty Financial (WLFI) edged up 0.04% to $0.05653, while Pump.fun (PUMP) climbed 11.78% to $0.004489.
Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Worldcoin (WLD) recorded the biggest 24-hour gain, soaring 20.59%. Arbitrum (ARB) posted the steepest decline, falling 9.75%.
Elsewhere in the altcoin market, QUAI surged 16.31% to $0.01239, while ALEO gained 0.24% to $0.01707.
CoinMarketCap also added eight newly listed cryptocurrencies over the past 24 hours: BEN (BEN), Greatest Meme Ever (GME), Stratton Market (STRATTON), microduck (MICRODUCK), Boner Coin (BONER), MUSHROOM (SHROOM), b-money (B-MONEY), and Robin the Frog (ROBIN).
