SpaceX shares had a wild ride on October 15. The stock fell as much as 7.40% during the day, then bounced back before the close.

Spacex stock ended at $148.62, down 2.33%. This SPCX news matters because the market cap now sits near $1.96 trillion, just under $2 trillion.

Why Did SpaceX Stock Drop Yesterday?

According to the post on X, Deutsche Telekom CEO Timotheus Höttges is not sure Starlink Mobile can truly take on U.S. carriers. He said satellite service does not attract many users where ground networks already work well.

"We have 85,000 mobile antennas in America," he said. He added that Elon Musk has to build those first.Deutsche Telekom CEO Timotheus Höttges is not sure Starlink Mobile

Deutsche Telekom owns a majority stake in T-Mobile US. His view follows the company's deal to buy up to 14 MHz of nationwide 800 MHz spectrum.

That deal hit T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon shares last week. Deutsche Telekom shares fell 7% after the news.

The session itself was messy. SPCX opened at $146.90, hit a low of $140.66, then climbed back toward $149.04.

Volume was about 97.87 million shares, above the 94.73 million average.

Is a SpaceX Tesla Merger Likely?

Merger talk returned in May as the company moved toward its Nasdaq listing. That followed the xAI deal in February.

It is reportedly set to use thrusters inspired by the company's rockets. Polymarket traders give a 60% chance it flies for at least one second.

Neither Tesla (TSLA) nor SPCX has confirmed talks. Tesla stock is down about 16.70% this year.

Barclays thinks a stock deal, where the company buys Tesla, is more likely. Musk would keep about 37% of the equity and 56% of the votes.

The bank says the real upside is in joining technology and operations, not in financial moves. Tesla's robotaxi plans and Optimus robots could pair with its AI work.

Musk sounded more careful on Tesla's July earnings call. He said any deal needs a proper process.

SPACEX PRICE CHART

SpaceX Stock Forecast: Will SPCX Go Up or Down?

This SPCX prediction rests on chart levels, not certainty. Bulls need to hold above $152.75.

A break through the $154.27 to $156.74 EMA zone would add strength. A close above $156.74 would help the bullish case, with $160 and $165.24 next.

A drop below $150.98 could bring renewed selling toward $145. That could lead to a retest of $140.66.

Overnight trading near $152 shows buyers are defending support. Still, the pattern looks like a short-term bounce in a weaker structure.

The $221.26 analyst target sits about 49% above the close. Targets change and are not promises.

Earnings are estimated for Nov 3. Merger or Starlink headlines could also move the stock before then.
