CryptoCompass editorial visual for markets coverage.
  • Dogecoin recorded a 92.7% trading volume increase while Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and BNB experienced significant activity declines across markets.
  • Open interest increased over 4%, while bullish positions dominated Binance and OKX, reflecting stronger confidence among derivatives market participants.
  • Dogecoin reclaimed its 50-day moving average, although longer-term resistance from the 100-day and 200-day averages remained firmly intact.

Dogecoin became the only top 20 cryptocurrency to record a significant increase in trading volume while activity declined across the broader digital asset market. The meme coin posted a 92.7% jump in 24-hour trading volume, attracting nearly $1.55 billion as traders returned despite only a modest price recovery.

Market data showed Bitcoin experienced the largest decline in trading activity, with volume falling more than 55% during the same period. Meanwhile, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and BNB also registered declines ranging between roughly 35% and 45%. Consequently, Dogecoin stood out as the clear exception among the market’s largest cryptocurrencies.

Besides stronger trading activity, DOGE also gained nearly 6% during the latest session. The move allowed the token to reclaim its 50-day moving average after spending several weeks consolidating around the $0.07 support level. Although the rebound remained smaller than previous rallies, higher participation suggested renewed buying interest.

Derivatives Markets Show Growing Bullish Participation

Derivatives data also pointed to improving market sentiment. Open interest increased by more than 4% over the past 24 hours, indicating traders added new positions rather than simply closing existing ones. Moreover, long positions continued to outnumber short positions on major exchanges, including Binance and OKX, reflecting stronger bullish positioning.

Additionally, futures flow data recorded positive net inflows across the four-hour, eight-hour, and 12-hour time frames. That trend suggested leveraged traders steadily increased their exposure to Dogecoin. However, spot market flows remained mixed, indicating derivatives participants currently display greater conviction than cash market buyers.

Even with improving momentum, Dogecoin still faces notable technical resistance. The 100-day and 200-day moving averages remain pointed lower, showing the broader market structure has yet to shift in favor of buyers. Nevertheless, reclaiming the 50-day moving average while recording the strongest trading volume growth among top cryptocurrencies represents a positive technical development. If buying activity remains elevated, traders could watch for additional confirmation that momentum is strengthening beyond the recent recovery.
