An institution that had been inactive for more than a year has moved large amounts of @Aave and @worldnetwork tokens, with a portion already sent to exchanges, according to onchain analytics firm Lookonchain. The move raises questions about near-term selling pressure for $AAVE and $WLD, and about how soon altcoins can mount a broader recovery.
What the onchain data shows
After over a year of inactivity, the institution moved 156,690 $AAVE ($22.86M) and 19.74M $WLD ($10.04M) to sell, based on Lookonchain's figures. Together, the transfers are worth roughly $33 million.
Not all of the tokens have reached trading venues yet. Of those amounts, 62,000 AAVE valued at $9.12 million and 19 million WLD valued at $9.67 million had reached exchanges, which puts the amount deposited so far at about $18.8 million. Lookonchain described the transfers as a sale, though deposits to exchanges do not always end in a sell-off. As AMBCrypto noted, the flow could mean either an exit or a portfolio reshuffle.
The activity comes as other long-dormant holders have also moved coins. Ethereum whales reportedly sold 4,000 ETH as exchange outflows hit a four-month high, crypto.news reported, citing separate Lookonchain posts.
Market backdrop for AAVE and WLD
AAVE has been under pressure. AMBCrypto reported that $AAVE extended its bearish streak, falling to a low of $140, and that the Exchange Supply Ratio rose to a three-week high of 0.1615. A higher ratio suggests more of the token is sitting on exchanges, where it can be sold more easily.
WLD is also trading far below its peak. Worldcoin traded at about $0.47 on October 25, 2026, according to MetaMask price data, against an all-time high of $11.74.
Large deposits from a long-idle wallet can add to supply on exchanges and weigh on sentiment, particularly in thinner altcoin markets. They are not a guarantee of further price declines, and the buyer's appetite will determine how much of the supply the market absorbs. With sellers appearing in $AAVE, $WLD and $ETH, a broad altcoin rally may take longer to arrive than some traders expect.
Traders will be watching whether the remaining tokens, roughly 94,690 AAVE and 740,000 WLD by Lookonchain's figures, are also sent to exchanges.
