U.S. spot Ethereum(ETH) ETFs lost $542 million last week, their worst since January, while Solana(SOL) funds ended a record 14-week inflow streak.

Key Points:

  • Ether ETFs posted $542.1 million in net outflows and have now lost money for nine straight trading days.
  • Solana funds shed $24.8 million, their largest weekly outflow since launching in late October 2025.
  • Bitcoin ETFs lost $681.1 million, bringing combined withdrawals across the three categories to about $1.25 billion.

Ethereum ETF Outflows

The Ether funds posted $542.1 million in net outflows over the five sessions ended Oct. 9, according to an analysis of SoSoValue data published Saturday. It was the category's heaviest weekly loss since the week ended Jan. 23, when $611.2 million left the funds, and it marked their second straight negative week. The losing run now spans nine straight trading days and $697.2 million.

BlackRock's ETHA, the largest Ether fund, lost $477 million, or about 88% of the category total, in its biggest weekly outflow since mid-December. It recorded outflows in all five sessions, including $201.9 million on Tuesday, and investors pulled another $160.9 million from Ether funds on Wednesday.

Solana funds lost $24.8 million and posted outflows in all five sessions, roughly tripling their previous record weekly outflow of $8.9 million. Bitwise's BSOL, the largest Solana fund, accounted for $20.9 million of that. Spot Bitcoin(BTC) ETFs shed $681.1 million, which ended three straight weeks of inflows and lifted combined withdrawals across the three categories to about $1.25 billion.

BlackRock ETHA Split

Tuesday's redemption landed on the day ETHA's 1-for-3 reverse share split took effect. BlackRock gave no reason for the split in its filing, and Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunassaid in August that it would cut trading costs from about 7 basis points to roughly 2.

The split combined every three shares into one, raised the price per share and left the value of investors' holdings unchanged. Flow data do not show why holders redeemed. ETHA holds $8.64 billion in net assets, so its redemptions largely set the category's direction, and total Ether ETF assets fell 10% over the week to $15.71 billion.

Year-to-date net inflows shrank to $931.8 million from $1.47 billion a week earlier. Ether was down 7% for the week by Friday afternoon, a day after a broad selloff liquidated $1.19 billion in leveraged bets and pushed Bitcoin to about $80,400.

Solana ETF Streak

The Solana products launched in late October 2025 and opened with a 13-week inflow run that lasted until late January. Their latest streak began after a $1.8 million outflow in the week ended June 26 and peaked two weeks ago with a record $188.2 million in weekly inflows. The funds hold $1.73 billion, down from a record $1.96 billion on Sept. 25.
