Ethereum is holding near $2,750 after breaking above a key technical resistance level, putting the $3,000 mark back in focus.

The latest breakout above roughly $2,661 completed a bullish continuation pattern identified by Reuters technical analysis. That setup points toward a potential target near $3,050, although ETH may first face resistance around $2,775-$2,825.

The move extends a broader recovery that has already pushed ETH well above the $2,500 area highlighted in our recent Ethereum breakout analysis.

$2,800 Is the Immediate Test

The first hurdle is not $3,000 itself.

Reuters identifies $2,775–$2,825 as the next likely consolidation zone. If ETH can move through that area and hold above it, the path toward $3,000 becomes much cleaner.

That would also confirm the stronger technical structure that has developed since Ethereum broke above the previous $2,661 resistance.

Coinpaper recently tracked the same progression when ETH moved beyond the $2,500–$2,550 zone.

ETF Demand and Tight Supply Still Help

The rally is also supported by improving supply dynamics.

Ethereum exchange reserves recently fell to around 14.88 million ETH, a multi-year low, while staking continues to absorb a large share of circulating supply. At the same time, U.S. spot ETH ETFs recorded a $216.4 million daily inflow on Sept. 11, taking cumulative inflows to about $13.38 billion.

That creates a potentially favorable setup if new demand arrives while fewer coins remain readily available for sale.

Coinpaper examined that tightening supply dynamic in whether Ethereum is quietly running out of sellers.
