ETH has slipped below the important $2,400 level after the failed CLARITY Act vote triggered another wave of selling across crypto. Technical momentum has weakened, while investors are now turning their attention to the Federal Reserve.

That's a significant change from only days ago, when Ethereum was challenging $2,600 and traders were looking toward $3,000.

Ethereum Loses $2,400

The latest decline pushed ETH through a support level that had helped stabilize the market during previous pullbacks.

The move follows the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act in a 49–50 vote, which also sent Bitcoin below $75,000. You can see how quickly the regulatory setback spread through crypto in Coinpaper's coverage of the CLARITY Act failure and Bitcoin selloff.

Ethereum was also caught in the broader leverage flush that saw roughly $300 million in crypto longs liquidated within minutes. Coinpaper covered the mechanics of that $300 million liquidation cascade.

Ethereum ETF Flows Reverse

Institutional demand has also suddenly weakened.

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs collectively recorded about $592 million in net outflows on Sept. 15, with Ethereum funds accounting for roughly $141 million.

That's a notable reversal. Only days earlier, Ethereum ETF inflows were strengthening while exchange supply continued falling: one of the bullish factors behind Coinpaper's recent analysis asking whether Ethereum is quietly running out of sellers.

The underlying supply story hasn't disappeared, but short-term selling is currently winning.

Ethereum Price Prediction: $2,300 or $2,500?

ETH first needs to reclaim $2,400 and then overcome resistance around $2,465–$2,526. A sustained move through that region would improve the chances of another push toward $2,600.

If ETH remains below $2,400, however, sellers could continue targeting lower support, putting the $2,300 area increasingly in focus.
