Ethereum (ETH) has registered strong gains during a broad cryptocurrency market recovery, reaching resistance near $2,530 after rising to $2,500 on February 1, 2026. Market data reveals that ETH’s price has climbed 32.4% over the past week, 33.9% in the last 14 days, and 33.1% in the past month.

Market momentum drives Ethereum higher

Ethereum’s recent rally comes during a period of intensified market activity that saw Bitcoin (BTC) surpass the $80,000 mark, pulling up major alternative cryptocurrencies in its wake. Confidence across digital assets strengthened following a cryptocurrency-focused event at the White House hosted by President Donald Trump.

Trump convened leading executives from crypto platforms and blockchain companies, underlining his administration’s support for digital assets. He stated that the United States planned significant purchases of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, a declaration that appears to have bolstered positive sentiment among investors.

Momentum in cryptocurrency markets surged after President Donald Trump announced new US policy efforts favoring crypto, alongside plans to acquire large amounts of Bitcoin and other assets.

Ethereum, the world’s second-largest blockchain by market value, has been among the beneficiaries of this renewed enthusiasm, rapidly following Bitcoin’s upward trajectory during the most recent surge.

Policy changes and investment flows shape ETH outlook

In addition to supportive policy signals, Ethereum’s price rally may be influenced by a separate development in traditional finance. The US Treasury increased long-term bond buybacks, resulting in greater market liquidity. Analyst observations suggest some of this capital found its way into the digital asset sector, boosting ETH and other tokens.

Mini dictionary: US Treasury bond buybacks, a financial strategy where the US government repurchases its own long-term bonds to inject liquidity into the markets and stabilize bond yields. This increased liquidity frequently encourages risk-taking in other markets, including cryptocurrencies.

Looking ahead, continued ETF inflows present another factor that could influence Ethereum’s price action. According to Farside Investors, BlackRock’s ETHA ETH ETF attracted over $500 million in inflows since August 19, 2026. Past data shows that ETF inflows have contributed to ETH hitting new all-time highs, such as in 2025. If demand through ETFs remains strong, Ethereum may soon challenge the $2,700 price level.

If ETF inflows continue at the current pace, Ethereum could see a renewed push to reclaim the $2,700 price level.
