Ethereum’s platform is making significant strides in financial markets, with its network reporting a 170% year-on-year increase in tokenized stock volume, reaching $827 million by the end of October 2026. Token Terminal’s latest analysis suggests that the Real World Assets (RWA) sector has moved beyond its experimental phase, marking a pivotal moment in digital finance infrastructure.
Ethereum’s Role in Digital Equity Infrastructure
While alternative blockchain platforms host tokenized securities running into billions of dollars, Ethereum’s volume remains steady within the $827 to $841 million range. Despite this, Ethereum continues to serve as a key channel for digital equities. Notably, 86% of these tokenized stocks are issued following a structure similar to stablecoins, fully backed by underlying assets without direct operational or legal involvement from the original security’s issuer.
Token Terminal noted that the RWA market has emerged from its trial stage, with the issuance structure significantly bolstering growth in tokenized equities.
Ethereum dominates 53.8% of the global stablecoin market, with circulating stablecoins valued at $158.71 billion on its network, contributing to the total market cap of $294.75 billion. Market participants highlight Ethereum’s robust and extensively tested infrastructure, now extending to traditional securities.
Growth Wave in the Derivatives Market
As the spot market infrastructure stabilizes, the derivatives market is experiencing a distinct growth surge. Decentralized platforms are witnessing historical volumes, with open positions amassing to $1.76 billion. Within this sum, contracts based on the same tokenized equities command the largest share.
One standout example is Hyperliquid, known for focusing on decentralized derivatives trading. The platform’s native token, HYPE, trades at approximately $87.70, backed by a steady influx of new users and an automated token economy mechanism.
The platform conducts daily buybacks of $1.24 million of HYPE from open markets.
Tracking HYPE’s Valuation
Market observers identify the $70 to $76 range as a long-term pivotal price area. Current market dynamics suggest a potential movement towards a $90 to $100 valuation for HYPE.
Considering Ethereum’s spot infrastructure alongside Hyperliquid’s high-liquidity futures, it is evident that blockchain technology is evolving into a multi-layered financial system that can handle diverse capital forms simultaneously.
