Shiba Inu community advisor Mazrael has issued an urgent warning after a scammer began circulating fake token migration claims across official Shiba Inu Telegram groups. An account identified as "someonesmart" was found promoting a fraudulent Telegram group connected to fake migration claims, posting its details in the Bone ShibaSwap Telegram group after first sharing them in the Shibarium Telegram group. The tactic is particularly disruptive because the scammer also muted official channels and banned developers from the group before pushing the false migration narrative to unsuspecting members.
Mazrael made clear that the account has nothing to do with ShibaSwap or Shibarium. He was direct on the core point: no migration is taking place, and if users want to stake BONE on Shibarium or use real tokens on ShibaSwap, they should use the real tokens.
Shiba Inu users are urged to use legitimate tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including $SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and TREAT, as well as official channels. For $SHIB specifically, the verified Ethereum contract address is ethereum:0x95ad61b0a150d79219dcf64e1e6cc01f0b64c4ce.
This warning fits a broader pattern of scam activity targeting the SHIB community. One recent scam involved fake migration sites pushing a LEASH V2 migration through Telegram or phishing websites, with holders told to avoid clicking links or approving wallet requests that do not come from official channels. The Shiba Inu team has warned that any migration or contract change claims circulated outside official channels should be treated as fraudulent.
Mazrael, a longtime member of the Shiba Inu community and project advisor for Shiba Eternity, has previously cautioned that there are no new official channels or accounts, and that when there are, it will be communicated via the shib(.)io website. Fraudulent accounts continue appearing, with scammers exploiting the popularity of the Shiba Inu ecosystem by creating fake accounts that mimic official handles, intended to mislead users into believing they are engaging with legitimate Shiba Inu projects.
