Finance expert Levi has urged XRP holders to note whale activity surrounding a sharp decline in the cryptocurrency’s price.
In a video attached to his tweet, Levi pointed to XRP’s drop to $0.99 on August 11. He stated that large holders were accumulating the token while retail investors were selling under pressure.
Levi stated that XRP printed 99 cents for the first time in almost two years on August 11. According to his comments, the price represented a decline of roughly 69% from its January peak.
Rather than focusing only on the price decline, Levi directed attention toward what large XRP holders were doing during the same period. He claimed that large holders added more than 380 million XRP over the preceding weeks, suggesting that some major market participants were increasing their exposure during the downturn.
Wallets Holding Millions of XRP Increase Holdings
Levi also highlighted activity among wallets holding between 1 million and 10 million XRP. According to his video, these wallets accumulated approximately 642 million XRP throughout the month.
He said the number of wallets holding at least 1 million XRP had increased beyond 2,000. Together, these wallets reportedly held around 8 billion XRP.
Levi presented these figures as evidence that significant accumulation happened even as XRP faced heavy selling pressure. His comments focused on the contrast between the behavior of smaller market participants and that of large holders during the decline.
The financial expert explained that the activity among these wallets deserved attention because it occurred around the same period that XRP reached the $0.99 level.
More Than $1.5 Billion in Leveraged Positions Liquidated
Levi then pointed to the market liquidation event that followed. He claimed that more than $1.5 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated before XRP recovered sharply to $1.50.
According to his account, retail investors panic-sold when XRP reached 99 cents, while some of the largest wallets on the network were accumulating at the same price. Levi used this difference in behavior as the central point of his video.
He described the situation as a period when large holders purchased XRP despite the broader market pressure. He also suggested that the subsequent move toward $1.50 demonstrated the significance of the buying activity he identified.
Levi Says He Would Follow the Same Strategy
Levi concluded his video, saying he would also buy XRP under similar conditions. His comments indicate that he views periods of significant price weakness and heavy selling as potential accumulation opportunities.
The post therefore focuses primarily on wallet activity rather than a specific future XRP price target. His message to XRP holders is clear. The behavior of large wallets in periods of severe market pressure may provide important information about how some major participants are positioning themselves.
