TokenFi, the sister project of @FLOKI, is spotlighting Shield, a tool that uses AI to scan smart contract code and flag risks in minutes. According to the announcement shared by @BSCNews, it covers Solidity and Rust contracts on EVM chains and Solana.

Shield is currently in free beta. @tokenfi pitches it as a first check before launch, not a replacement for a professional audit.

How TokenFi Shield works

Developers upload their Solidity or Rust files, along with any project documents or security rules, and the AI uses both to produce a tailored audit, according to TokenFi's Shield page. The page says results arrive in a few minutes and that beta access is free for a limited time.

The tool first launched in November 2025. BSC News reported at the time that it performs semantic and code-level analysis, flags vulnerabilities and logic flaws, and ranks findings by severity from critical to low. The same report listed Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon and Avalanche among the supported EVM networks, with Solana covered through Rust.

TokenFi's positioning is that traditional audits are slow, expensive and often backlogged, which leaves smaller teams and early-stage projects struggling to get a review before going live. An instant scan is meant to fill that gap and help teams fix errors before paying for a manual audit.

Why pre-launch checks matter

Security remains a live concern across the industry. Chainalysis said in a June 2026 analysis that at least $36.7 million was stolen over six months from protocols whose source code was never publicly verified, forcing attackers to decompile raw bytecode to find weaknesses. It noted this is a fraction of the more than $1 billion DeFiLlama records stolen from 88 protocols, most of which had verified contracts.

Automated scanning also has limits. A guide on AI vulnerability detection notes that LLM-based tools can raise recall on some benchmarks and give reviewers more context, but evidence for their adoption in production audit workflows remains thin. That caveat fits TokenFi's own framing of Shield as a first-pass check rather than a substitute for a professional audit.

For developers, the practical takeaway is to use a tool like Shield early in the build process, then commission a full human audit before deploying real funds.
